Any cheap email marketing services out there?

I signed up for listwire today and made a form/squeeze page. I tested it out and found that when you confirm your subscription, it asks you if you want to join another email list (this is how he monetizes it). It then redirects you to some random CPA offer site.

I'm not cool with this.

So... I guess I'll give up on trying to find an ad-free limitation-free email marketing service that doesn't cost any money. I know aweber is popular and trusted... but are there any other good ones that you guys would recommend, that is really really cheap?

Thanks in advanced,

Matt

Aweber is currently $1 for the first month. I don't think you can find anything cheaper than that.

Also is there a way to host your own email marketing service?

I recently found a good self-hosted email marketing service on CodeCanyon. I have purchased a CRM system from this developer and it works really well. The install was simple. I am looking into purchasing this self hosted email system too. codecanyon.net/item/newsletter-system/52667

Yes, Imnica probably gives you the best pricing once your list is in the thousands. For example for a list of 5,000 subscribers, Imnica currently charges $14 per month vs. $49 per month for Aweber.

However, when it comes to deliverability... Aweber is the better choice and the way to go. I know from experience that most Imnica emails to a gmail account goes directly to the spam folder (since I use both Aweber and Imnica).

We have been using MyBizMailer and it is fairly cheap comparing to some others. Delivery rates are not bad neither. I highly suggest to give them a try. They also have a free account so you don't have to pay for trying them out.

Dont use listwire. He will send spams to your list too.
You can use benchmarkemail for cheaper and better service.

MailChimp is free for under 1,000 subs, but Aweber is better overall.

I am the CEO of HonestMail.net and our service is 63% less than Aweber with nearly all of the same features. We believe that most of the major email service provider are simply making too high a profit margin given the true costs to run an email marketing service. Thus we setup our business infrastructure to operate on more reasonable profit margins and pass on the savings to you. Here is a competitive price comparison and feature comparison that I think you will find quite enlightening

Be sure to go with a big name... there's a lot of data to back up that its worth it. I always recommend Aweber for beginners.

If you plan on selling through email don't use mailchimp, they have some restrictions on stuff like that.

You can install your own email marketing software - try Acymailing - runs on Joomla. If you have a lot of emailing to do - then this is a good system. Take a VPS and put this software on. Of course - it becomes your responsibility then to make sure that your ip numbers remain clean.

IF you need any help with acymailing set up etc - let me know.
