Facebook basics?

1)Do not promote free stuff such as email, zip submit offer. Basically no spammy offer.

2) Research on your niche and offer then set up your campaign

3) have solid targeted audience. Not too broad

4) have minimum 10 images to start with, this will allow you to find good image with CTR

5) Start Your Bid lower. You can start with lower then the Fb lower suggested Bid.

6) Split test every thing. Ad copy, image, direct link vs LP, rotate offers, male vs female, age,etc etc.

Those are few out of all. Testing never ends. Do not kill your campaign too early. Wait and grab the data then optimize then look what you can do to make profit.

Have positive attitude. Don't expect to make you money back on your first campaign.

Why not ? I make killing with facebook and free submits. At least, they dont scam money out of visitors.

Do you feel comfortable with scammy offers that scam hundred of dollars of hard earned money ?

I said this because facebook do not allow email or zip submit offer to be ran on their ad platform. They may approve once in a wile but it will get you banned in long run. You can promote them on your pages but still facebook cracking down on them. Now you can't even promote them on your status update. you have to cloak them. You may know how to get around it because you are currently using your strategy but do you think it's suitable for a person who just starting with facebook ads??? also he asking what to avoid.

You can do DL for dating offer. Just make sure you promote dating offer and not mature/dating offers.

Just a few tips off the top of my head....

Read the TOS and learn them well

Buy your own domain and hosting so you can at min use it to redirect and install prosper202 eventually

Ask your AM on your networks for top Facebook offers

Split test several different ad texts and images

Use quantcast or a similar site to help determine offer demographics

Track everything!

  On top of what's already been said...
  
  Create fake profiles that match the demographics you're going to be targeting with your ads. Then when you're logged in to those profiles visit Log In | Facebook and figure out what sorts of ads are appearing consistently. Use those ads to get ideas for your own.

Many were said. A few more:

- Use strange, weird and amateur looking images to get a high CTR
- Split your campaigns in age groups
- Test different angles
- Freshen your images after a while to avoid ad blindness
- Use call-to-action in ad text

Email submits are good on facebook. I make a full time living of facebook marketing

Marketing fanpages on different niches. It's really easy to make money on facebook.

Alot people think it's hard is not you will be surprised how easy it is when you actually

take action. At first when I started I never wanted to do facebook marketing because of

how hard I thought it was. It's really that simple.

Read the rules and try to understand them.

Test, Test, Test.

That's what the 2 biggies are personally I'd recommend starting with POF if you're a total noob. Less strict/confusing rule system and they care about their advertisers unlike Facebook.
