My Website Hijacked by a CPM Network!

Hi everyone, I'll like you to take note of this CPM network and avoid it. When I was starting out in IM, I was very anxious to monetise my traffic. As a result, I signed up with Fastadvert.com. I was lured by what they wrote on their homepage:

"Let Fastadvert.com handle your advertising sales. We pay webmasters $1 per 1000 banner-impressions from their website. While other advertising networks only pay for leads and sales, we continue to pay for impressions."

I have been running their script on my site for over a year now and nothing happened. It was just last week that I noticed something. Fastadvert.com was redirecting my traffic to web-traffic-analysis.com/2/?zz=1! It took me some hours to find this out.

I have now deleted all their script from my website and I will advise you guys to be wary of this site. After this horrible experience with Fastadvert, I really wonder if there is any CPM network out there that I can trust.

Try Thumtbools.com; if you're interested in selling your advertisement spaces directly to your visitors or potential advertisers you'll find Thumbtools useful! For a brief description of the key aspects of the business refer to this existing thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...-ad-sales.html

I hope you recover well from your loss, my advice is: do shop around for the best deal before committing to your purchase.

Fastadvert.com? Never heard of it before. Why not just stick with those reputable CPM ad networks such as Casale Media, Tribal Fusion, ValueClick Media, Burst Media, CPX Interactive and ContextWeb etc?

Yes, these are trustworthy companies. They may not pay as much as Fastadvert offered you, but they are serious.

I agree, these are the networks I trust as well. It's risky to try to go with a starter advertiser that promises such things as $1 per 1000 page views!

About a hundred hit per month. I know that's too small for some cpm network.

Yes, but the script was kind enough to let my site to finish loading. After that the redirection starts. I just thank God I was able to discover this on time. If anybody have used fastadvert before please tell us your experience.

@henlus You can also try to use adsense, They have a fairly good contextual ad base which utilizes both eCPM and CPC ads.

I have some adsense on my site already but they're not doing that good. One need a lot of traffic to make good money with adsense. Thanks for the contribution.

Sorry to hear about your luck with the page takeover situation!

With traffic below 1k daily you're probably better served seeking out CPA/CPC offers.

It will take more research and work on your part but a few conversions will end up making you more money than a strategy based on page views.

Depending on your site i'd be happy to work with you... but in the interest of the most income CPM might not be the best fit.

Never heard of them. I stick with the bigger, better known ones to stay on the safe side.

Thanks for the heads up, indeed! The website looks shady at first glance, in my opinion. The internet is ripe with bad apples, it's rare that I ever feel 100% comfortable doing business online. I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience, and I hope you find a good network soon!
