Just spent $25 advertising on POF...

Is it normal to get 25 clicks but no action on dating offers? The other one managed to get 40 clicks and 1 action.

Any suggestions? I'd like to hear others' experience/suggestions before adding more funds.

    I think you are doing it the wrong way. You don't spend XX% and by the end you just say "It didn't work". You have to spend time, effort and money by optimizing it so that you find what works best/what will give you more conversions.

    Read William's topic. It's about facebook but it will also aplly for pof, the difference is that there is no CPC in POF but read it, it's a very good topic.

      Because it works, you already have a massive target audience of people who have already signed up for a free dating site. Now POF wont let you advertise other FREE sites so think of the drawbacks of a free site and the benefits of a paid site. Use those differences to sell the viewer. Big cash to be made.

      As for the OP are you direct linking or using a landing page?

      If direct linking you probably need a bit more data but what you want to be asking is does the site coonvert? Ask your AM, is this offer working on POF at the moment, if not get promoting something that does. If your AM wont tell you then find another network.

    Its totally normal to Get 25 clicks with no conversion!

    Many people get over 100 Clicks with 1-2 Conversions.. In paid advertising like FB ads or POF... You need to Split and Test!

    Dont just rely on one offer..

    You would think that on a dating site, you'd get amazing conversions but it just doesn't happen.

    Its more about knowing what the demographic wants and making a good ad so you can get your CPC down

      People convert just fine on POF for dating sites. As a matter of fact, POF's average CTR's are MUCH higher than most social sites like Facebook. They monetize better as well. If POF was valued in a similar manner as FB, it would be close to $1B.

    I wouldn't say it's abnormal but it's really hard to give feedback or advice without more info.. How many ads have you tried? What's the Ctr? How many offers did you try?

    It's normal. Always split test the same offer among at least 2 networks, the same offer can convert very differently on different networks.

    I had one really successful dating campaign on POF, one was alright, and the rest haven't been good. Also tried 2-3 e-mail submits and just lost money.. Thinking of trying weightloss or fitness or something now..

    Yeah, you aren't testing quite right. Your numbers are completely normal and you'll have to test much more than that before you can be sure of pretty much anything. You should check out the guide above and keep trying. Good luck!
