Lead impact....what the hell!?

What is up with lead impact. I read all these great reviews about how it's the best ppv company to start out with and they have good traffic etc.

I'm on my 3rd test campaign right now with them and:
1. It's like pulling teeth trying to include enough high traffic url's to get traffic
2. The traffic really doesn't seem to convert

The ones I thought would work are related to stock trading and making money from home.
Are these just bad niches to be in for ppv traffic or this network?
What type of offers work on this type of traffic?

If you're having success with lead impact what conversion rates are you seeing?

They also seem to be charging me for more views than my prosper202 is showing, has that been your experience?

Leadimpact converts just great try to stick with niches on the lower payout end though. ppv is interruption marketing, people will be less likely to buy something or fill out a lot of information(which usually comes paired with high payout offers). surveys, dating, gaming etc. are better for ppv IMO.

This x10. Focus on the low payout offers entirely, i.e. single zipcode submits, or emails.

I know the idea of focusing on smaller comms seems off-putting, but when your conversions go through the roof it'll all make sense

I got a Peerfly iPad offer running profitably when they suddenly shut down all of my URLs and KWs for no reason.

    Good job LeadImpact.

I was in the middle of scaling things by adding tons of related URLs and KWs too.

This little campaign could have gone up to $20-50 a day in revenue just by direct linking.

I'm a new user of leadimpact and it works well for testing my campaigns although I have made a few conversions so far. As I am new, I question my methods for my failures, not the network.

Well, you've probably didn't work with MT if you have these complains about LeadImpact.

For higher traffic you need to go for low Alexa rank URL's - and that's not always going to to promise you super high traffic.
Simple example - When I bidded on Shopathome.come I wa getting aroun 2000 per day from that target and it's 657 on alexa rank, and 134 Alexa rank in US.
For another campaign I've bidded on wizard101.com which is probably not even in that league, although it's protected but from there I was able to get around 600 views in an hour at the pick and it ate all my budget ina few hours...

If you are looking for bigger traffic bid on domains of other offers that affiliate push!

Hi, lead impact is actually the secound best after traffic vance. I Hope you are targeting by urls and not keywords, also try linking to a landing, optin/squeeze page. Countries depend on the offer. DirectCpv is mostly interstitial ads which mean it shows up between a website linking to another website.

I am about to take a dip into ppv and will use LI. I see some strong feelings expressed here and understand there are a number of variables to an effective campaign - but I think the potential upside is worth the learning curve cost. The $200 initial deposit seems reasonable compared with others like TV. Maybe I'll feel like Jordanberg2311 after I've started.

I am new to PPV. This traffic source really made me inspired to give it a go. So far, it's a struggle on the testing side because I'm not entirely sure what URLs to target. Someone mentioned using Alexa rank to target, so I'm going to try that. I'll report back with more info as I go.

What offers are u promoting? Submits, dating, etc. ??
      {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6762744].message }}
  • Profile picture of the author Pava
Dating, finance, media, health. I think that cheap submits is really hard to convert, because of traffic costs. For example you pay 0.015 per 1 view. 1000views = $15. Even if CTR will be 30%, 1000 targeted clicks is = $45. For example dating offer pays $4.5/lead. Your submit ratio should be 1:100 only to make a 0% ROI... think about it.
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[6762844].message }}
    • Profile picture of the author Weeks
Yes, looking at the stats, for most CPA offers the conversion rate is really low, maybe 5% if you are lucky. So, you have to have some awesome CTR to get cheap submits to work. For higher dollar stuff it can still be tough without really high CTR because the traffic costs more. For example, for payday loans you will be paying between 0.03 and 0.10 per view for the majority of views. With a 10% CTR (which is normal), that comes out to between 0.30 and 1.00 per click. With a 1% conversion rate (which is also normal) and a $50 payout, it is almost impossible to make money. So, you have to have a combo of higher CTR than normal and higher payout/conversion rate than normal to get anywhere in my opinion.

From my first test, I have to agree. LeadImpact basically same as Adf.ly..

I took profitable campaign from PPC where I got 90%-120% ROI and apply

to LeadImpact.. What a junk!...Unfortunately they have $200 minimum to start testing.

I don't even want to test it anymore, have tired of junk traffic.. I'll ask for refund and

close my account.. In PPC I got like 5-7 clicks with 2 sales and here

Gazillion junk clicks and not even simple lead conversion? gimme a break.

POF? same thing.. POF and LI = junk. Sorry. I'm back to my PPC basics,

when each click actually means something. What a waste of time and money PPV is..

So you did ONE test, didn't get the results you wanted, and now you're concluding that LI and PPV is garbage?

For one thing, you should have come in expecting your initial $200 to be your testing budget. Since you're pulling out and asking for a refund before you've even given it a fair go, it's no wonder that you're not seeing success.

Secondly, the fact that you're saying that LI is basically the same as AdFly tells me that you haven't taken the time to learn about LI and PPV as a traffic source. One of the big reasons AdFly traffic performs so poorly is because it's so untargeted. The only targeting option AdFly has is by country, which basically puts it on the same level as RON traffic. LI on the other hand, let you target by keywords, and most importantly URLs. This is an EXTREMELY powerful tool that they give you when you use it properly.

I personally made campaigns with 1000% ROI on LI. You just need to think like the marketer that you're supposed to be.

The key to PPV traffic is.... Getting visitors to click through to the offer, meaning your landing page NEEDS to be relevant to the target. 60-70% CTR is fairly easy to get but you need to put in the work. Just put yourself into the visitors shoes and think about your sales funnel from their eyes.

Man stock and make money at home program are hard dude. Heck you can't even get a good click on google for less than 2.00 bucks for those.

You don't need to find a different niche just use a different software program to find lower paying keywords is all.

Watch, tweak and retweak, when you find something that works then you rinse and repeat till the soap starts costing too much then you move on.

Hi everyone, I've just come across LI and looking to invest in advertising my renovation course. Does anyone know the type of audience I'll be targetting with LI? I read on their website that people opt in to a couple of free video/games websites (Click Potato etc.) and agree to recieve limited pop-up advertisements in return. However, my target audience are aged 35-60 and in Australia or New Zealand. Would I be wasting my money given that people who are going to use Click Potato or their other website are probably younger? Am I missing something? Can anyone offer any alternatives?

It's been a while since I used Lead Impact. I was just about to renew my account and decided to see how things are first.

Im glad I found this forum

I've been using Lead Impact for years (even before name was changed) I last used Lead Impact about a year ago and had VERY good results from it.
It took me a while to learn that the best way to get high conversions was to target keywords and URLs that are more specific to my ad

It was especially helpful to use URLs that pointed to subpages. That way, the customer was redirected at the right time. this lead to even higher conversions.

    I hope that helps

    Cheers!

The videos/training were of Matt Bacak teaching China Dave how to get the best out of PPV and they use LI. I think everyone that reads this thread and want to get the best of PPV should watch these.

You can't just transfer over PPC campaigns, unfortunately that isn't how PPV works at all.

Also the reason LeadImpact had a $200 minimum is because they realize any experienced CPA marketer would never spend less than $200 testing a new traffic source before making judgements on it.

Look at networks like TrafficVance, and many media buying network requiring $1000+ to join.
