What's The Best and Easiest Way For PPC Newbie To Get Into The CPA Game?

Been watching a series of webinars on CPA with PPC - from Chad, Gauher and Greg.

All of them recommends different sources and are at different levels of their game. In fact, in Greg's webinar one of his students took 2 years to break $30K days up from $100s days. Greg himself took 7 years to break the 4 figure day barrier.

I know some folks recommend just getting your hands dirty instead of investing in any coaching programs - in fact that's what Gauher too recommends in his webinar like testing with $5-10/days - although there are a number at fair prices 1-1 coaching like the ones from williamrs and justin .

As someone keen to get into the CPA PPC game, what do you recommend and what's your success/experience? Thanks!

It depends on your budget IMO. If you have like 1000$ to spend pay for 1 on 1 coaching (only with the ones that have a good record) and you'll probably save some money in the end because you are not going into it 100% blind.

But if you have 400$ you shouldn't spend half of that on coaching...

Consider why people say things. If some people only produce huge courses every 12 months or so, of course they're going to tell you to avoid coaching programs, it's not their business model. They'd prefer you wait for version x.xx of their course to come out instead.

Nothing wrong with getting a little help/support/accountability along the way.

    david15923, PPC-Coach,

    Thanks for the replies.

If I may ask a bit more.
With a budget for coaching. The question I have is should some one just start off using let's say a budget of $500 and just get they hands dirty? Then they can "learn" and know what they know or need to know before getting more help?

Or are they better off spending upfront the $400-500 on coaching and let the coach help figure out your strength etc. and guide me "find" my way I guess this is a faster route if the coach is a good match and able to help you

So is it better to have basic knowledge, then engage a coach. Or just go in blind with a coach? Just want to see if anyone has any experience to share on which is more effective way to pick up PPC marketing

Up to you, that's a personal choice. A good coach will help you avoid the small mistakes you're going to make on your own, therefore saving you money and speeding up your learning.

      See this thread too:

In my experience, everyone asks the exact same questions when starting out, then they ask the same questions as they gain more experience. So spending money to get help first is good as long as the person doing the coaching knows what they're talking about.

Most people would never attempt open heart surgery without first at least watching a couple open heart surgeries first hand with an experienced surgeon to guide them. Tiger Woods has a coach still and he used to be the best golfer in the world. Lebron James has a shooting coach. All professional athletes have coaches. What you're asking is should the Lakers just play ball without anyone to guide them? That would be a disaster imho.

Coaches and mentors are not magic pills to take to skip the pain of trying and failing, they're there to help you get through it and reinforce that there is light at the end of tunnel. Plumbers, carpenters, welders, electricians, doctors, financial advisors and a ton of other professions use mentors or apprenticeships. They do it for a reason, you can read about all those jobs in a book, but real life experience and guidance is absolutely necessary to really do the job right.

So yeah, you can read the FAQ for Adwords and then try it, but if you've ever tried to get an answer from Adwords they're very generic by design. They want you to spend a lot of money testing things to find out what works. That pads their pockets not yours.

This! Learning from others' experience can be very beneficial for all the reasons Will listed above. BUT paying for a course or one-on-one coaching will not lead to instant success. I mean, I took golf lessons and would still probably lose against Tiger (probably )...but my golf game has improved greatly - helping me to avoid common mistakes, teaching me what I need to work on next, etc.

Think this way, what if you use those 500$ and you make only a couple bucks?? Then, if you spend 400/500$ on coaching, you will only have like 100$ to implement the techniques, and 100$ is a small budget if you are talking about any sort of paid traffic. Do this: research a bit and see what you would like to start with (facebook, ppc, media buys, ppv,...). Then look for coaching or WSO's (find the ones that are reputable) and apply the techniques that they teach you with those 500$+ and you should be fine. Just my opinion, sorry for the english :p

LOL ppc course and gurus go on and on about how they can bring your costs down X%....

so it goes from $3 a click to $2,25....guess what? You lose either way. Either a lot or quite a lot.

PPC is so flooded and efficient now the days the smaller players could use it are long gone.

Of course they won't want you to know this!
