I wouldn't recommend using them. Too many other people using the same script, there will be a thousand exact copies of your site out there.

You get a generic site template, you don't have to create your own.

On top of this, I believe you have to code your own postback scripts, which is complicated if you don't have a clue. If you don't you can hire someone on freelancer or something to code them for you, typically for $50ish a pop.

gpt sites = not worth the time

I would prefer custom built script. All other scripts out there are not good, shiftcode will make you to be dependent on them for everything and you cannot tweak script/design easily without going to them.

Just a semi-offtopic: How much have you made in the past with these sites?? (as an owner of course)

I've been apart of the incentive niche part of our industry for many, many years. I think you should look for alternative methods if you are looking to get into incent. GPT's are not what they used to be and advertisers are not looking for that type of hard incent traffic anymore. Look into other soft incent methods such as virtual currency and content unlockers. We don't even allow GPT websites on our network anymore, quality is just not there.

I own a GPT site with 250k+ members. My site is totally custom. I have been building this site for the past 2-3 years and continuously improving it.

If you want to start a GPT there are 2 things I would recommend you before thinking of the rest:

1) buy the best off-the shelf script but have it modified to your needs
2) get a unique design

If you can afford it (money and time) you should go for the 100% custom solution but nowadays there are pretty good off-the shelf scripts available. The only negative point is that there are soo many similar sites. If you distinguish yourself and do some smart promotion, you are set to go with a successful website.

gpt sites make great profit and some make little some offer rates like 30% up to 95% on offers they paying so depends how much you payout for each offer in profits you will make,however if yuo want a more active site the higher payout and instant paypal is the way most sites are going now,tons have low $1 instant paypal and one i know has 10 cent instant paypal and few more no minimum so can cashout a penny if you like.the worsest part i see is if you get reversals you have to count that off your profits unless the member makes it right paying you back or doing more offers,i myself love gpt sites and shiftcode sites casue they seem so reliable compared to homemade sites,but you can get a designer to make the site look real fancy and make more money people see sloppy looking site they leave,theres some great designers out there one the best they call seraph she does alot and great work.well hope this helps you decide on what to do and way to go.
