Does the word "Gay" and "Lesbian" allowed on FB adverts?

Try to search online... I remember last year there was a scandal with facebook, when they banned dozens of ads about gay sex health and etc. So in my opinion it's unlikely you can use these words in the ads. Your ad will be banned because of 'censorship.'

But I also heard that Facebook changed their mind after dozens of articles online... So fifty/fifty try to write the email to facebook support before you create ad, who knows - you can get banned because of that lol.

I'm trying to promote a dating offer targeting gays and lesbians. The ads will be like "Find girls looking for lesbian partner". Anyway how can I contact FB ads support? I'm new to FB advertising

Everything you need to know is here:

I would say it's better to be safe than sorry. There is a redundancy if you already select men interested in men. Saying "Gay" is like calling the kettle black. That's like saying "Find straight women tonight" on a straight person's ad. Sounds silly doesn't it?

I believe if it's used in proper context it's allowed. I've used that before and it was no issue.
