Hey guys.

Can someone share some general tips on how to appeal to more mature audiences on POF? I know that younger guys and girls like to see t & a and abs in banner ads but what about the older crowd? What are they more likely to click on?

Older daters are interested in 1 of 2 things.

- No BS just sex
- Long term relationship that has marriage potential.

Use imagery that speaks to those needs.

  Why not visit the places the 'older generation' visits such as forums and blogs and get a feeling yourself of what they are interested in. Or ask older family/friends what they look for. That way you can build up a picture of what they are looking for and tailor your ads accordingly.

It will certainly be a tough and challenging job for you. Probably dividing total target into different niche and then promoting as per segment's requirements will give you good result. Your segment could be divorce, still unmarried etc. Moreover you can categorize whether they want long term or short term relationship etc.

Try to use in the pictures, persons of the same age to the demographic you're promoting in this way it looks more real.

Test lots of different images. An older dude's taste in women will be different from yours.

I've tested over 600 creatives for a mature dating campaign I was running on POF and found some that had killer CTRs that I NEVER expected from my perspective as a 23 yr old.
