I am working with a software developer to cpa market his stock picking/ananlysis software. Any tips on where I could recruite affiliates?

  My plan is to set up a few landing pages, drive some traffic from related blogs, forums, low comp keywords.

You can go ahead and start notifying some networks also. Some of the smaller networks especially will probably be very interested on being exclusive on an offer.

Thanks for your help.

Obviously the easiest way would be to include an "Affiliates" link on his landing pages where visitors can click through and read more about the affiliate program. I can't tell you how many connections/programs I've joined by doing just this. You have to look at your affiliates like customers though and pre-sell them with your landing page to show them the potential amount of money they can make and include many tips on how your offer/website can be promoted. Free, simple, and highly effective!

Good advice up there, also reach out to others in the space, a lot of forex sites and investment advice sites have lists and would be targeted. It's a good idea to get your metrics down by running it yourself or getting someone to test it and get some numbers to tell those others what to expect.
