Does forwarding a domain to an advertiser's landing page count as direct linking? or can I get away with that on adcenter?

    Yeah. You can on Adcenter. Adwords you can't cause they detect it as a bridge page. So if the advertiser demands you run ads with your own domain, just have them forwarded to your affiliate link.
