Are Few CPA Companies Stealing From You?

I had a discussion with a fellow warrior recently and he had some interesting stuff to share with me about a few CPA Companies. Please note that most CPA Companies out there are ethical and honest but there are a few who abuse customers.

Basically, he joined around 6 CPA companies and about 2 of them were stealing from him. The guy knows his stuff and tracks everything. He had high CTR but no conversions with these 2 companies so he investigated further. He actually got his friend to buy a free trial offer (where you just pay for shipping) through his link. The reports for that sub ID showed 1 click but no conversions, even after a month.

So the problem is that you can spend hours and hours setting up squeeze pages, campaigns, spending money on targeted traffic and end up losing. It's not fair on any marketer to be cheated like this. Surely, there must be protection for hard working marketers against these few rogue companies. Please let me have yoour views.

Yes, unfortunately this does happen.. same things with some traffic providers as well

  Split testing is the way forward. Building a strong working partnership and trust are very important.
  
  I know that most CPA networks are honest and sincere. Unfortunately a small percentage of cpa companies and advertisers are making the lives of hard working IMers tough.
  
  Most IMers spend so much money on perfecting a CPA campaign.
