Should I move away from Adsense?

So I have this website, pretty small, I get a 70-80 visits a day. I currently have adsense on it and I get very few clicks and I make $1-2 everyday.
So do you guys think this would make more money if I monetize it some other way such as CPA?

This website is actually just a test, Im going to scale this up.

If adsense is currently working with just those numbers, then try adding more valuable content to your site. You can also try building more quality sites and eventually create a mini network empire. The benefit of this is that you can then run CPM offers (ie: Banner Media, Flash, Rich Media, etc.) and even private offers on your mini network. Those impressions can add up to lotsa motza

In my experience, running CPA offers on a website converts the worse out of all possible ways one can send traffic to those offers. The exception being if your site is highly niched (ie: weight loss for women) - which it should be anyway - and your cpa offers are ultra specific to that niche (ie: diet pills for women). In that case, you're site will have pretty good conversions.

For max results with CPA you should consider PPC, PPV and Media Buys.

I'd say from those numbers you should focus on building up your traffic first, then after you get much more traffic, then worry about monetizing it

Yes, traffic would be key with Adsense. It's simple. No traffic = no money. Try some new ways of driving traffic to your site

Have you tried changing your ad placement, use different ad block sizes, etc.. to see if you can increase your CTR?

What niche is your website in? You could try testing some CPA offers which are related to your niche, but still leave Adsense on. If you don't get any conversions after about 1 week, you could test some different offers until you find one which converts.

To diversify, and as everybody says not to put all your eggs in one basket, you can try chitika.com
But I think that you have to grow your site a little bit more to be accepted there, anyway nothing to loose.

I think you should try to get more traffic.
If you think that not possible and have another idea then go away from Adsense.
But before doing anything, Think again that which way will be perfect for you. then take the decision and I wish you'll get success soon. Best of luck.

$1-2 is very good comparing to your visitors. You can also try CPT if you have great offers or coupon codes to promote on your site.

Just my 2 cents... but we've all read forum posts from people who had major Adsense empires that came crumbling down. Ask yourself if you're comfortable building a business on sand, because Google's tide could wash it all away one day.

Try out CPA with adsense. It is allowed to use alternate networks with adsense too. Adsense will act as a safety net while you make some decent money on the CPA. But CPA is also not long term. Offers may expire too.

Adsense is not bad for monetizing sites. You are making about $1/2 with about 70 visits. it is really very good. I think you should try to increase the visitor of your site. With large number of traffic I think your income will increase. On the other hand CPA is not bad, but you have to increase your traffic.

Why not try Amazon for a month, then CPA, then Ebay Network and monitor the revenue stats? Choose the method that works well for your site

As others have said, concentrate on getting more traffic first. If those AdSense revenue numbers hold up as traffic increases, you should be doing very well indeed.

On the other hand, it is never a good idea to put all your eggs in one basket. Diversifying your sources of revenue is definitely something you should set as a goal.

It's best to eliminate 3rd party vendors as much as possible. If you can add value to your visitors by offering a product via CPA or an Affiliate then by all means do so.

Some members here build all their sites for Adsense, so that's a whole different strategy (which I don't agree with). Personally I have stopped relying on as many 3rd party vendors such as Google (SEO, Google Places), Bing, Yahoo, etc...

If you have a good product to offer in place of Adsense then you'll make far more money and you won't have to rely on Google.

I don't like the idea of building my business on quicksand.

do whatever floats in your boat. You gotta learn from your experiences and take it to the next level. Adsense does work, but cant also be really expensive if you dont do it right, the only way to produce some income with it, it to explore different words.

    Good luck. mate
