What is wrong with my Poll Method [Case Study]

I am not sure if I am doing things correctly.
Can anyone give me some tips?

I am using facebook to promote and here is my best performing ad.
When I say best performing, I mean the best one out of the 3 I made :/.

When I started running this I did not have the tracking set up. But I do believe that most of the clicks click through to the next page. But none converted.

Here is my LP

WHAT would you guys recommend? Am I just being played and poll method wont really work?

I spent a tiny amount of money so far $5. And I have alot available to spend. But I don't want to waste the money.

I am targeting. who like #Derrick Rose, #Dwyane Wade, #LeBron James or #Miami Heat

All of USA all Ages default targeting ect.

I can see your problem is ctr , you are receiving too low clocks , Test different creatives and also test age, gender etc .. and keep those with good ctr

    Hi PR Bandit,

Your CTR is low probably because your image and copy is boring - no offense

Polls need to be exciting or shocking... and the images used need to convey that.

Consider: "Will your team win"? vs. "Will your team get face-jammed!?" vs. "Who will get dunked on first?"

Now imagine using an image of Lebron with his mouth all opened, 5ft in the air about to lay it down on an unsuspecting player.

Now, I don't do much FB - but at the very least, you should be testing different creatives as Speedy already stated. In this way you'll know for sure.

    1. The Ad Sucks (sorry) Try something like: "Will Miami Win The NBA Title?", "Will Miami Beat OKC?"

    2. Break it into 3 separate campaigns, one for Miami fans (keywords: Miami Heat, Lebron James, Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh, Mario Chalmers, University of Miami, Miami Hurricanes, Miami Dolphins, Miami Marlins), one for OKC fans (similar keywords but for Oklahoma players and local teams), then one for general NBA fans (generic keywords like basketball, and Kobe Bryant.)

    3. Use different images. The Miami campaign, use Miami players. The OKC campaign, use OKC players. The general NBA campaign test both.

    4. Pay me 10% of what you make (optional).

Like others said, you really need to spice up that ad (both image + copy).

Try different headlines and try things that are more enticing to click on.

For creatives: play a round with a LOT of different images. Try editing images (adding borders, flipping images, etc.) but track everything.

You said in your post that you didn't have tracking up at first. Make sure to set that up and track everything. Keep split testing different copy/creatives until you find ones that give you a higher CTR.

Sorry polls are outdated, don't do them anymore. (That's what everyone says right?). Truth is I've been showing how to do these babies since 2007 and they STILL work.

Getting 10 clicks then wondering what's wrong is WAY too early to even examine your campaign. However you ad copy isn't going to get the emotion you want.

You are all probably right, I have a lot more work that is needed to be done. And a lot more testing money :/.

25 clicks for $11 and still didn't even test anything.
What will I need? Like a couple hundred just to test with. And there is still the chance that I don't get any money out of it.

One other thing, at those cpc levels you will never profit on a poll.

Unless you're adding to it with and offer wall on the end or list building of some sort too.

Agree with Will. If you're promoting email/zip submit or short form offers that only pays $1.25 - $2.50, you may just loss money. You're targeting US and the CPC isn't low. Try using CPM and create the best creatives you can to get at least 0.2% CTR then improve your conversion rate.

Another thing is your ad copy is giving free team jerseys and your LP gives $250 subway gift card. And the images you use are boring. Poll still works as long as you put some excitement on it. Why would a user complete your poll if it's boring on the first page? You may also try using images of previous MIA vs OKC games. It may work

Make 10 creatives find out which one has the best CTR keep this one, remove all the others, create other 10 and so on, with US traffic trying to get a better CTR paying for CPM is the key to success, otherwise just move to international offers/traffic.

You really need to get your ctr up, also you'll likely need to rotate through different landing pages and different offers before you find a winner..

also once you get your ctr up, you will need to spend more to get a larger sample size
