Stand Against Exit Pop and Malware

I am so sick and tired of all those offers that have exit pops and I wounder why CPA networks allow them. Do advertisers find it cool?

I find it stupid to ask someone want to leave your website, Are you sure you want to leave! Huh, Why would you need a confirmation to allow a visitor to leave the site.

Now a days almost every offer have one and those who don't have they also get back and add an exit pop. I just don't understand why.

That's only give us "Publishers" more problems while advertising YOUR campaigns. Because 80% of advertising platforms out there don't allow promoting offers with exit pop.

Do you know that creating a simple html landing page cost today $40-$100 and that to promote only 1 offer?

As we all know it should be a win win situation with CPA. So please keep it this way. We don't have to create landing pages for all offers we want to test.

Quality traffic = NO exit pop
Crap traffic = Exit pop (yes please)

Add to that offers that convert on download and has viruses? Only checking some landing pages will give you 50 Alerts.

So to many AM's out there I know you are doing a great job counting the money so please do some more work by testing the offers and the landing pages as well.

Some offers don't even load while we are sending traffic to them. And we wounder what are we doing wrong and why the offers don't convert. Yes, because the offer simply NOT there.

    well mehmood i experienced same with some offers , Like i was promoting an offer on traffic vance and they did dis approved my ad du eto exit pop up on it so exit pop ups also create problems to get ads approved on ad networks, That offer turned out to be very profitable for me and when am not able to run it on traffic vance that really pisses me off.. .I Do know that AM don`t have control on Exit POP ups and all they can do is to request advertiser to remove exit pop up ...

    Exit Pop up is useful when you ofeer special discount to people who want to leave your site without buying your product .. lets say you are selling a $40 product and when some one close window your exit pop up offers them 50% discount ... in such scenarios exit pop ups work well ...but exit popups with bot chat boxes are of no use ...

      Build a lander? Please tell me you are kidding. I have built over 150 landers. Do i just keep building landers and optimize them while you need at least to test about 3 landers per campaign to get good CTR.

    I doubt they find it cool, its all to do with the numbers. They will have split tested with and without and found more $$$ with the exit pop presumably.

      Right on!

      And that's one of the very reasons why you'd find tons of pop ups on all those CB offers as well.

      @OP, usually I drop the offers that contain exit pops for the same reasons that you have mentioned. But we pretty much have no control over the spread of malware across, especially if it's embedded and FUD (fully undetectable).

      I have had experiences with a few advertisers who were trying to inject zero days into the backend so they can pretty much milk 100x more off the data, so in those cases, you just need someone dedicated to look over such pages.

    I feel your pain brother. To those who kept saying build lander. Yes we do build landers but if you want to run certain type of test campaign, you need to have 2 landers and 1 direct link to campaign to see which converts better. Exit pop do not help in that case.

    I am not saying Exit Pop up should be removed from all offer but Please give us a link with Out and With exit pop so we get to choose

      Indeed aminur, Publishers should be able to choose which link is best for their traffic to promote even if the clean links with less payout.
