Google Search Term Local Monthly Searches

Just looking for insight on one of the EMD I own. Google indicates 37,200,000 local monthly searches for "nyc or la". I own that EMD and it appears to be rank 2 however is receives no traffic.

You would think out of 37 million searches a few would end of visiting the site. I don't have it fully developed, just a WP site with relevant content. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

There's a big difference between broad match and exact match. The 37,000,000 searches you talk about is broad match and only 58 when using exact match so there's only really about 58 people a month searching for that exact phrase which would explain why you aren't seeing any traffic.

If I had more time I would give a better explanation but unfortunately today I am pushed but hopefully somebody else can offer a better explanation than I have.

Wow, 37,000,000 searches? If I had about 5% of that traffic I must be rich!

Well, I'm not an expert couldn't give any infos.

Try to search again after logging out your google account. The rankings can vary. I ranked one for a very high converting keyword but when I logged out and checked I was out of the first ten pages.
