Peerfly / CPA Questions

OK, total noob issue, but here goes:

I just got accepted into Peerfly (yay me!), and am in the process of setting up my sites for email/zip offers. What I'm confused about is do I get paid if the visitor only enters their email on the first page, but then does not follow through on the rest of the survey?

I swear this was not done to manipulate anything, but my neighbor saw a promo flyer I created with some of the offers and was genuinely interested in applying for the offers ($1,000 gift card; year supply of chocolate), so she went to my link from her iPhone (on wireless network, not wifi). She entered her email on the first page, as required. Next page was for other personal details like address, DOB and cell and home numbers. At this point she didn't want to give her phone number so she just closed the window and did not continue -- so I would assume this means I do not get credit for the lead? Even though she entered a valid email, but not her personal info? (And I'm not being petty here over $1.30, I'm just really trying to understand this).

She tried the second offer, and this one gave her an error message after she entered her email that it was "not compatible on a Mac." (?!?!?!) Wow, doesn't that really affect a fair percentage of the population, especially those using iPhones? I was planning to create flyers with QR codes directing to the offer, but that seems like a waste of time now if there is this compatibility issue.

I know some other offers also have a survey attached -- does this also need to be completed to receive credit? There must be a large number of abandoned surveys once some visitors see how much more is involved than just an email address.

I checked my Peerfly account and there is nothing showing as a conversion, so I assume the answer is that they do need more than just an email?

some sort of. The offers differ a lot based on advertisers. So I suggest you contact your AM Luke at Peerfly and ask him recommend some of the high epc zip submit offers for you. Good luck!

I'm not sure, but Corey (Peerfly Traffic Manager) said that there are advertiser do the scrubbing.

So basically whenever someone enter their email address you will get paid for that lead. If you're promoting an Short Lead Registration, user required to submit their address and so in order for you to get paid.

Shoot up a PM to Luke, and try ask him why you didn't get an conversion on that lead. My guess is advertiser is scrubing hard, cause my CR drop dramatically. Sad.

If the offer details mention that it converts on email address submission and you find that you haven't been credited for the same it means that it has been scrubbed. Scrubbing is reality and it is not done by the CPA networks but by the advertisers who may decide that since a person has not given her phone number, it should be taken off.

It depent at the offer's type.
Some offers convert in simple emali/zip submit.
Other offers convert on short form (2nd page) submitting.
The way it should converts supposed to be mentioned in the offer

If it's an email submit offer which converts on submitting the email address then you will be credited for it. However some offers convert on second page where the user has to enter additional information. If the user decides to exist at this point you will not be credited for that offer.

The offer page in your CPA account contains details whether the offer converts on simple email submits or on second page submits.

Some email/zip submit advertisers do not want mobile traffic because their path behind the email submit is not setup for mobile traffic. I'm sure that is why the lead was scrubbed.

I would suggest taking a look through our mobile offers (we do have some email submits that are accepting mobile traffic) if you expect to get a lot of mobile traffic. Another thing you could do is setup a simple landing page where you capture the user's email for yourself and then setup an auto-responder sequence to push them to the offer. You could mention that only people on desktop computers or laptops are allowed to participate to help lower your missed conversions

Talked to the am, she says. It always hard with offers. Conversions only take place when all the steps were completed correctly by the end user. There could be many reasons why his conversion did not pop up. I usually stay away from offers that don’t have a strong EPC and CVR. but im positive he went through all the steps.... I was there !
