Does Google Adwords lie?

I have a serious problem understanding Google Adwords. I guess my engineering mind does not accept their logic. So please help me understand the following:

In Google Adwords, I enter a keyword "doktor" inside the keyword tool. The global search is about 9 million and local monthly is 4 million. The traffic estimator tool on the other hand says that the max number of people it will bring to my website is 4 people in a day based on the max CPC.

Seriously, how is this possible? What am I missing here? even 100,000 monthly searches yield at least 200-300 clicks per day.

Please someone help me.

Exact search is not equal to broad search.

Doctor is not doktor... Check off the [exact match] choice in the keyword tool to see the real number for doktor.

Yes you are right. Obviously the exact match is low as expected. The exact match yields to 33,000 per month. However, there is another keyword "elbise" which has 49,500 exact match per month and traffic estimator says about 140 people per day. There is quite difference between 4 people and 140 people. I don't get this part. Both traffic volumes are similar but per clicks are not even comparable. Why? The funny part is that "doktor" has lower competition than that of "elbise".

"doktor" has 720 local searches in the USA. What country is your traffic estimator set for?

I am looking at country Turkey. The exact local search is 33,100 here. How come then paid advertisement can bring only 4-20 people a day?

Yeah I was going to ask that. Try your keywords in quotes... The google adwords tool really lies. It doesn't give you all the possible keywords and especially the long tailed keywords that carry this goldmine. This days application that automate these searches are now available. the point here is yes, the google keyword to lies.

Logic and Adwords do not go together. Trying to figure them will drive you crazy.

Simple, don't use the traffic estimator. It's WHACK and always has been.

Don't use the traffic estimator. It may be wrong. It depends on many other things apart from Max CPC.

what was your daily budget and your max cpc setting, these are also factors, if you only have two pennies to ponder then regardless the number of searches your only getting a few visitors.

ramp up you cpc and your daily spend then see what happens.
