Revenue Shared Vs. CPA

Hi fellow warriors, which version of payout structure (REV Shared or CPA) do you think is the best?

Don't know why...rev shared is making me far less money than cpa payout from the same niche.
Do you guys and gals have the same problem here...?

Cheers.

All depends on the niche how well your traffic is converting for the advertiser. If they are paying you up front for sign-ups, etc (CPL technically) you get paid even if they don't go on to purchase something.

In some cases rev-share is stacked against you if the average purchase is fairly low - but it looks enticing because they promise you a "big cut".

What type of offers are you referring to?

      Thank you for the comment...
You could be right that it is the problem of low average purchase.
Yes, they promise a BIG cut in revenue percentage, but as a matter of fact CPA payout is making a lot more money in the dating niche.

That is pretty much true across the board for dating your regular dating sites. Revshare as an alternative to getting paid CPL/CPA works best with offers that by nature require several purchases over time which means gambling, adult sites (especially live cam stuff), or anything that uses "credits" that have to be refilled.

Also, it may take awhile to get the most out of revshare because you may have 99 users that only purchase once or twice, but eventually you'll get a whale that buys and buys and buys. In the end I would almost always go CPL/CPA because I can track margins much easier and it's more consistent which is important because I like to run volume.

I build CPA and CPL offers and if the rev share is on the front end, then you can't make as much as a good CPA offer. However, if the rev share is for the entire offer: frontend, coreg, and offer wall, you should be making money hand over fist.

Also, when doing rev share on the entire offer, you should have read access to all tracking and databases. This is how I run my offers and no one has complained yet.

Rev shares tend to have more specific niches avaiable, and depending on the niche can be really profitable.

But in the overall scheme of things CPA are much better when it comes to sending them traffic from paid advertising, and more general websites.
