My Top 7 Lessons On Building A Successful List FAST!
After continues tests I'm now in the position to tell you what works and what doesn't. Or let's put it this way, I know what pays off based on the time you put into it and what doesn't.
List building is all about maximizing your opt in rate to capturing high quality leads that will pay you months and years down the road.
It's really important that you keep an eye on how much time you invest for a specific traffic generation method. If it takes you 2.5 hours to generate 2 leads, odds are that it's not very profitable for you. It's not a bad start but you should strive for more than that.
Ok, let's have a look at some traffic generation methods that you can use to drive targeted traffic to your squeeze pages.
Free WSOs
There are actually 2 ways on how to do this. The first way is to simple post a paid ad in the Warrior Special Offer forum with a link back to your squeeze page. The second way is to post a thread with your free offer in the War Room.
Here it is important to show up with a unique value proposition, your product. You can best tempt people to want to know more about your product when your product speaks its own language.
Never ever give away garbage because garbage won't attract high quality leads. Put in as much effort as it takes to create a great product, and launch it either in the WSO or War Room section.
You should be able to pull in at least 30 to 100 leads per FREE offer. Therefore, in the long term you should be able to make at least 10:1 on
your money.
General Forum Marketing
Another very effective way to generate leads, if you are consistent and do it right. You simple add a link in your signature, pointing to your squeeze page. Go ahead and start opening threads in your niche to let people see that you know what you are talking about.
One of the best things you can do is to deliver people more than they expect. Again, give them unique values and clear instructions on what they should be doing to make money with your business model.
More often than not, forum members will click on your signature because it is relevant and they believe to receive even more outstanding value from you.
Article Marketing
Article marketing is like any other marketing strategy all about math and let me tell you why I think the way I do. If you post a valuable article on Ezine, pointing back to your squeeze page you really only do that to get leads right?
Let's say on average each article gets about 100 uniques and 10% of the 100 people that viewed your article will click on your signature link. So you have 10 people visiting your squeeze page because they are curious, are looking for more free information or maybe they are already in the mood of buying something, who knows.. And if we can measure that 3 out of those people opt in to our list, we accomplished a whole lot.
Those 3 people might not sound a lot for right now, but If you consider that each unique lead that is not shared with anyone else can bring you $1/month, you will make a total of $36/year from those 3 leads. Not bad for writing a 500 word article that takes you 30 minutes right?
Still, you need to make sure that your articles provide great value or you will lose readers quickly or they will not click on your signature.
PPC
PPC is one of the better options to drive highly targeted traffic to your squeeze pages. If you got money coming in already from other sources, PPC is a wonderful to drive traffic.
However, to succeed with Pay Per Click you've got to have a system for your project. This is where a lot of people have gotten into trouble.. And yes, it takes some serious testing and more often some decent financial commitment as well to judge whether a certain campaign is profitable or not.
The upside of PPC is great, you can start driving hundreds, even thousands of targeted visitors to your website within 1 day, if you know what you are doing.
The downside of PPC is that it does take some money and testing.
When it comes to social media I claim that Facebook is the number option to drive traffic. You just have so much more possibilities to present your marketing ability and knowledge then you could with any other social media site.
Social Media is all about branding, how others perceive you and how well you are in the position to market your free offers first. It's all about building a strong emotional connection with your targeted market.
You can start posting comments on niche pages with a link back to your squeeze page. Write something that others find attractive and makes them CLICK your link. Once they are on your squeeze page it all comes down to simple leaving their email. If your squeeze page has a clean template, is very convincing, and more importantly you are talking to your guest as a friend, odds are at least 30% that he/she will opt in to your list.
Swaps
This is a sure way on how to grow your list fast, if you are working with plenty of other list builders. You simple "exchange" your list with the list of another marketer.
While it might be a great way to build your list, it doesn't mean that you build a quality list by doing so. Most certainly, your conversion rate decreases by doing swaps with other marketers.
If you first start doing it, you don't really know how responsive the list of any marketer is, nor how targeted it is, unless you get enough data.
Since you will sharing your list with more marketers, there will be more people marketing to your potential customer which might not be a good thought.
I'd only recommend doing swaps once you filtered your subscribers from your buyers. Never give away your true buyers list.

JV Giveaways
Here you are simple looking for big events that ask you to contribute free gifts to their event. Most basic memberships allow you to contribute 1 gift, however if you upgrade to a premium membership account which usually costs anywhere in between $7 to $15, you are able to contribute up to 8 gifts per account.
The higher your gift (cover and link to your squeeze page) shows up on their sales pitch, the more likely it is that you will get sign ups.
