A question for the CPA experts.

Good day all.

I have a few questions I would like to ask regarding CPA.

I have a Facebook page with over 300 000 members in the dancemusic/DJ niche. At the present time I am making some money from it, via affiliate links to club tickets etc.

Every day I get sent DJ mixes to promote to my Fan Page. So here come the questions.....

Can I some how lock the mixes away on a website so that in order for the people to get them they have to complete a simple CPA offer?

Is this ethical?

As the people in my Fan Page are from all corners of the globe how does the offers work with different locations. I mean if a person in the US enters a simple email submit will it be a similar offer for a person say in Spain?

Am I going about this the wrong way or is there an easier option?

With this amount of people I really think I should be making more money than I am.

Any advice regarding CPA or other marketing tips would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Darren

    Darren,

You are in a great position of power, but you have the wrong idea.

When you "restrict" content that was originally given for free, your followers will understand or "believe" rather that you are more concerned with making money than providing them with value.

As I understand you are making money already. If you want to make more money your focus should be this:

What can I do to make my tribe's lives wayy better?
What can I send them that would really get them raving?
What could I say to get their attention and make them super grateful they follow me?

What you can also focus on is "selling without selling" - which means you can your most responsive followers onto a separate sub-media of the internet,

such as an emailing list. You can give them something free (without requiring an email optin) - So if that "Free" thing happens to be:

5 Ways to Have an Unforgettable Time At a Dance Party (for example)

You can list the first 4 ways in the report and ask them politely to "accept your invitation" to recieve the 5th [and most important tip]

by giving you their email (in which you would reveal the 5th tip) and provide other super useful info on a weekly basis.

That is how you make more money by helping others more.

Never ever restrict content- that's a lame way to do it and they will catch on fast.

    Cheers,

    Justin

    Agreed.

I would use the traffic to build a dance blog. Or a concert tracking website.

If you did decide to go with your original idea, a simple content locker does the trick (available from many cpa firms).

Many thanks guys for your answers, especially Justin.

I now realise what I need to do. I was just thinking of making a fast $$$$ and not looking at the bigger picture.

I now have a few ideas in my head. I can definitely see now where I need to focus my attention.

I have an Aweber account but really need to use it to its full advantage.

Once again thank you for your help

    Yes, start building a list.

Tell them you'll send them "exclusive" mixes, and do so.

Then once your list gets bigger charge up and coming DJs a fee to blast their mixes and tracks to the list.
