Promoting a product with a dedicated website/domain.

Let's say you want to promote a product from the CPA that has a return commission of $35/sale. Do you recommend creating a new website under a fresh domain, or just creating a page using a pre-existing domain that features multiple products? My concern is about buying a brand new domain, and Google taking 6+ months to index it or perhaps not get it on page 1. If content truly is king, then using a brand new domain should have little affect, correct?

I think you should just test several direct-linking campaigns and even several landing page campaigns to find out if it's worth the effort. I've created dedicated mini-sites before, but more for a wide range of niche products.

A brand new domain can be well ranked for relevant searches on the same day you buy it. That ranking won't go way after some time either, assuming it wasn't gained through any kind of black hat trickery. I've launched new sites with top ranks within a week many times.

I also manage over 2000 affiliates promoting my products, and some of the best use custom domains where they've set up minisites. It's working for them (and me by proxy).

P.S. jaggyjay, I love your signature, it's always pointing down so the person knows to keep reading the rest of the thread. So helpful
