They're one of the earliest forex trading companies with a great management team - as good as the mainstream products such as CMC Markets, IG Index etc.

Whether you'll make money out of them - whether as an affiliate or a trader - is entirely down to your prowess, nothing to do with them!

eToro is a pretty major company, if they were running some sort of investment scam I'm pretty sure they would be shut down by now.

I don't think you can "won" money from them. They are not a lottery or game, but a FX broker. Their spreads aren't the best but they pay their affiliates every month and they have a huge back office staff all around the world.
