Where to buy good traffic from?

Hi all,

Let's make some money .

I've found an offer to promote. I know it converts well. I've set up my landing pages and Prosper202 click tracking. Now I need some traffic .

I had great success advertising on AdWords, but that was as a vendor, not as an affiliate.

So where can I get some good quality, targeted CPC traffic for particular niches? i.e. like AdWords but less fussy about promoting affiliate products or having slightly grey-hat landing pages. Is AdBrite any good? I don't like FB (who clicks on ads there?) and PoF's PPV doesn't appeal to me.

Anyway, post your suggestions here.

When I first began into Affiliate Internet Marketing, I didn't like or think FaceBook Ads would work either. But consider there are over 1 billion people on FaceBook alone. And once you learn how to target people based on interests, likes, and demographics, FaceBook can be a gold mine and very effective for advertising. I personally know affiliate marketers that only advertise on FaceBook and make 5 figures monthly. So don't rule out FaceBook yet until you've tried it

But as with any smart marketer, you know you need more than a single good traffic source. Because what if FaceBook begin doing what Google did to most affiliate marketers? If it's your only traffic source, then your business goes under.

So I personally would recommend you try Facebook. Simply target based on what you are offering. Some other good starter places I would recommend is 7Search and Bidvertiser. And depending on your exact niche, I can very much likely recommend more places for you too.

    Thanks everyone!

Yeah, I hear good things about FB but everyone is advertising on there (or PoF). It would be nice to have some alternatives.

I'm mystified about AdBrite. I'm sure their T&C's say NO PORN SITES, but I see their ads on loads of porn sites!

AdBrite's no good anyway - they charge you to approve an ad - AdWords is free!

I also tried Bidvertiser but they took 48 hours to approve my first ad, and 48 hours is like 3 years online so I didn't bother logging into my account again.

We can advertise in 7search without landing page.
Facebook is the best for dating offers.

7Search traffic is of low quality but if you use effective filtering techniques, it can be a good traffic source.

Adf.ly is also another option, you can buy targeted and very cheap traffic. I am not sure about their CTR but $5 worth a try i guess

Adf.ly traffic is supposedly junk. However, you could probably use it to boost your site traffic before selling it for $$$$ on Flippa!

I've always wondered just how good Ad.fly traffic is. Can anyone rate their experiences with it?
    {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[7176164].message }}

I see a lot of Adfly ads when I'm trying to download "stuff". They're really annoying when you're trying to grab something. I don't think the traffic would be good, but yeah, speak out if you've tried it.

General adult traffic is really cheap, but you have to remember to be a little grey hat to make sure a mainstream vendor doesn't see their creatives or links on a porn site. I'm really new to this, but it might have some potential. I'm more of a CPC man, but look around and you can get some seriously cheap adult popunders or PPV traffic.

I like keyword targeting though - if anyone has any more suggestions then leave them here (NOT FB or AdWords as I obviously know about those).

If we are talking about offers where people have to buy something, this is my experience

7search traffic can be good for some offers, but these offers are really rare. 7search is ridden with bots and because traffic is thin, it takes long time to work out where they come from.

Bing, aka AdCenter, is more expensive, but again very few offers convert. I recently tried 9 offers and only 1 is converting, with positive ROI.

Advertise.com has brilliant user interface, traffic is clean without any bots, but very few offers convert and traffic is really thin. Actually much thinner than on 7search.

Both 7search, Bing and Advertise.com suffer from one huge problem. They have very little traffic and when you hit the ceiling you can forget about scaling up.
