I enjoyed my time spent as a ppc coach member. Unfortunately I never became one of the many success stories but then I never applied myself or took action - go figure . That said, my experience there was great, everyone was helpful and engaging to including the owner, and the info was very clear and concise.

Honestly, in my opinion you need to first figure out which traffic source you want to learn first, from there you can pick on a course that will be best for that traffic source.

I have almost no posts, so my opinion surely does not carry any weight. With that disclaimer out of the way, Tanner Vaughn's forum on media buying is fantastic. Tanner himself is easily reached. The forum has some very detailed "follow alongs" of actual live media buying campaigns. Andrew Zapp, who has posted earlier on this thread, dishes out plenty of golden nuggets of wisdom.

What I like most about that forum is that questions get answered in great detail by Tanner and several other members. My experiences in Tanner's forum has been the polar opposite of another media buying forum that I was a part of that shall remain nameless.

If you want to learn about media buying, you will be hitting a grand slam [let's go Yankees] by checking out Tanner Vaughn's forum.
      Best of luck.

If you have a limited budget, I wouldn't advise you ask for coaching. Most guys here are going to refer you to paid forums that really don't have anything special IMO... just use that $500 on small campaigns, learn yourself, connect with affiliates in your area, meet up and share ideas. Once you get offline the people you meet are MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH more helpful... this is the last time I'm typing this advice as IMO it's the quickest road to success and falls on deaf ears.

@Cash37. So I am looking for ways to increase traffic. Since I am self taught I am not so sure how to do that.

        Do I buy traffic?

I do the whole twitter/facebook/linkedin/assorted forums posting daily.

I have pretty good traffic (very directed and niche) - so not sure if 10,000 more viewers who are not quite so interested in my niche will help.

You don't buy traffic? Then you can more than double it by adding in paid traffic sources.

But realistically all you can do to double your income is

          1. Double traffic
          2. Double conversion rate
          3. Promote more products

There are a ton of good coaches out there, but you have to realize that the majority of them are self taught just like most successful internet marketers. Doing your own research and testing the waters yourself will not only take you further, but also provide you with a greater sense of accomplishment.

With that said, I'm not taking anything away from any of the great coaches out there and a ton of them provide courses that are well worth the money without a doubt.

I wouldn't pay anyone! Why pay when there Affiliate Networks that offer mentor services for free? All they ( Mentors / AM's) ask in return is for you to push their merchant products, that's about it.

  • It is ALWAYS your affiliate manager - however, as you've stated, they aren't very receptive to your contact requests.

So, in this case, you ask for another! That's perfectly legitimate to do - or you can go to another affiliate network. I personally like to go to affiliate networks that have highest payouts - so I use odigger to tell me which those are for specific products. (However, you can always get bumped, so don't use that exclusively)

OK, your AM is there to help you. Your AM is not there to "coach" you.

What I mean by that is that their job is to match affiliates with offers that they may be successful with, as well as to be the main contact for affiliates and networks. They're not there to train newbies and hold their hand setting up CPA campaigns.

If you have a good relationship with your AM, they may pass you some good resources and let you in on some opportunities. They're also a good person to bounce ideas off of. Learning the ropes of CPA, however, is the responsibility of the affiliate. AMs have too many other things to take care of.

And honestly, not every AM knows how to promote CPA offers effectively. Some are successful affiliates themselves. Others are not even allowed to run their own campaigns. I've worked with some AMs who have had virtually no experience running their own campaigns, but they've done a very good job matching me with offers and handling any business I needed done with the network. I've worked with other AMs who would tell me what traffic sources were giving them good results for certain offers.

So, getting to know your AM certainly is important. It will let you understand exactly in what ways they can help you.

I started out in paid traffic methods about 2 years ago and failed miserably in the beginning. Like thousands of others I joined the Warrior Forum went through threads and bought some WSO guides. I am action taker and found a little success immediately.

Then I discovered that guides always left out one or more steps, most often those that were crucial to the success of the method. That is when I decided to do some research on who is the best coach on the Warrior forum. I shortlisted 2 names - Kenster and William (willaimrs is the user name). They are the best. Believe me, reading through dozens of sales pages and hype, it is easy to be misled!

I signed up for William's coaching and it is the best thing I ever did. I have left a detailed review in the WSO thread of William's coaching(Looking for the missing piece - title).

Keep in mind that there is a difference between "coaching" and reading questions and answers on a paid, private forum.

Finding a real coach as opposed to joining a forum where they have a library of materials and the ability to see the questions and answers of forum members, is not the same thing.

Maybe that is why some private forums drip the materials. They know you will download what you need, read the relevant question answers and discontinue.

I agree but you get what you put into it. I "drip" materials and I have a very large forum of questions and answers. My most successful members are the ones who ask the most questions.

Some forums are ghostowns where you join and you see the owner once a week or every 2 weeks. Those are not coaching forums, those are archives.

So, the best possible situation would be:

          1. No dripping of materials to hold onto members. The product and information must do that.

          2. A large number of useful questions and answers in a searchable and well organized format.

          3. A moderator who owns the whole shebang actively engaged. Not just forum members who like to show other members how smart they are.

Why not get it all. Someone must do this,

The budget you have is very low for getting success in CPA. My suggestion is to use this amount in any low investment money making method and then invest that amount on CPA. If you want you may use my method.

Absolutely. Some coaching schemes will not reveal all of the site content up front. They meter it out over time.

There might be a valid reason for withholding all of the resources on a forum and drip feeding you. Actually, if you can get away with it, it is a fantastic marketing idea. You are able to retain your members for a protracted period of time.

It will give you more income and possibly get them used to the forum so they won't leave.

I think that a lot of people join the forums, read everything, ask their questions and get things going. Afterwards, they outgrow the forum. It happens. I belong to a forum where I provide a lot more input and personally help a lot of people. Why would I continue to pay for it?

It also rubs some people (me for one) the wrong way. I cannot explain it, but it just does not seem right to hold back. Everyone comes in a different level. The information you are holding back might be something the forum member is ready for and needs then and there. Again, this is just my opinion.

I have a CPA manager who is a very nice guy. He tries to be as helpful as he can. But he the furthest thing from an experienced CPA marketer. I know more than he does because I read everything there is to read and haunt forums every day.

In a year or so I am sure he will be up to speed. My old AM was very experienced but got nasty when I asked for help and actually gave me false information. Pulled it out of her...uh her.. well she pulled it out from somewhere.

I drip it because there's too much to release at once. It's not a marketing ploy or gimmick, it's trying to reduce information overload. Plus when you release everything at once, people tend to browse and spend more time reading then taking action. Not good in the online marketing world.

But yeah some people just don't like that way. There's lots of forums that don't drip it.

if PPC is your medium then williamrs is the best, period.

the cost is not cheap but there are so many things for you to digest (modules & materials about PPC) in 60 days and because of that he will monitor your progress very closely where you must report your "homework" each day, correct your LP & optimize your ads etc. he also likes to be interrupted by his students (that's what he called us) thru' skype or email which is less than 24 hours to reply.

one thing for sure, you will NOT be left alone guessing (what to do next, which products to promote, how to promote them, where to promote them etc) from there you can replicate his exact methods to promote other verticals ten times more, multiply your earnings and cover up your cost of his awesome coaching program within 30 days, if you're diligent enough

PS. I had a bad experience last month with one of providers here which is a total crap of $47 per month for Q&A session using Skype, but Thank God I only signed up for a month!

    Hey Guys,
I pay attention on this thread. A lot of USELESS answers!! (Better to shut up if you not have direct answer to thread question). Problaly you are asking why many threads are open asking for coach. I know the answer: Because non of them have honest review of some coaching program!!!!!!!!!

"Gurus" only promoting them signatures!! No honest answers. For "Gurus" will be better to stay away from threads like these with UNSELESS answers promoting themselfs.

I expect to get at least 10 honest reviews of people being coached from different coaches. And yes I recommend you to take coach, I had one years ago and he taught me some traffic strategies for which I can looking around for ages.

So thanks those people who mentioned at least some name of potencial coaches.

And yes stay away from paid forums and their old USELESS campaigns. And stay away from CRAP products which are spinned and created just to make money.

I think to take coach is the best way to learn and MASTER something.

I have heard about Ivan-Ong (I am not his friend or anything else, so do not think that I am promoting him), I am reading his successful coaching stories, I think he is not posting them just because promotion but want to give real value what he can do for us not just showing us f****** fake screens!!!!!!!!!, I started beliving in him, but I cant give you honest review because I didnt take his coaching yet.

For me (as I said I didnt take any of them-just recommendations and my view) second choice is Justin Dupree, a lot heard about him and believe in him too.

    My 2 cents

The best way to do this go to an affiliate/CPA event in real life or meet people in real life who do CPA some how. Most marketers are not going to rev share a campaign with someone they don't know online. Just being honest.

    Listen buddy,
Maybe I'm not the best in this business but in my short experience I realized many important things, and it goes like this :
You don't need much money to teach yourself how to succeed in promoting your product, it is true that only with money you can try things and I think that trying things is very important, but the main part is to read a lot of case studies and articles about the niche that you are promoting and the website which you use to promote your products . you need to read and know everything about the way you are promoting your products, and then try to promote your product with some money. You do not have to spend more than $ 500 to try something , so far I've spent $ 100 and I understood a lot of things and even started to earn for a little, I have been two months in this business , and every day I read new things about the sites that I use and occasionally I just invest some money to try new things. I read a lot and think 10 times before I invest money and if you will start to do like me my friend, you will learn a lot of cases of other people who tried things no matter if they failed or succeeded you will learn much from this. Instead you try these things and lose money, you can save money from reading experiments of others.I'm sure that if you will have a question about something that you cant understand, you will find the answer here in the "Warrior forum". The people here are awesome and always help you if you need something.
In fact, I think that you got everything in this forum for successful promoting.
So I dont think that you or anybody need an affiliate coach.
And the most important thing is:
Never give up and stop wanting to succeed.

    Good luck mate.

Wow! Nice post dude. Really inspirational stuff. I think we should all understand that in order to succeed, you and only you need to find your own way. Nobody can teach how to make money. You'll need to learn this by yourself.

With that being said, I think it's okay to have someone that can guide you to the right path but you are the ones that going to walk in it.

Yeah coaches suck. Nobody needs them. After all if they could make money on their own they wouldn't be coaches right. Hmmm NBA coaches? NHL coaches? MBL coaches? Hmmm guess they have to be able to dunk a basketball, score more goals then anyone and constantly hit homeruns to coach right? After all if they can do all those things then they wouldn't have to or WANT TO be a coach right?

      NOPE.

Coaching is more then just being good at something. There's a whole other aspect that the "coach haters" simply do not get. Having a place and someone to bounce things off is priceless. It SAVES you money in the long term because you have an experienced person guiding you. (Not to mention accountability).

Anyhow, mentors typically do it for free, coaches get paid to do it. Some people don't need or want coaching, that's fine to each his own.

Google has been my best coach. Knowing how to use Google and how to ask the right questions to get the answer you want can be a very powerful tool.

Have a question? Ask Google. Chances are that you'll find your answer there.

You just have to ask the right questions.

I think real life networking is going to be your best option along with Google. As for the coaches around here, caveat emptor. Honestly if I had to choose one, though, I'd give williamrs a shot, I've seen him on camera which makes him more credible IMO.

It really depends on how well your Facebook Page pre-sells them. Typically a landing page is a must for promoting CPA offers, but if your Facebook Page does a good job, it could be your landing page.

To be perfectly honest, a great coach in the CPA space is tough to find because unlike many other models online, CPA has a lot of campaign specific variables so it's very time intensive to coach. That's one reason I stopped doing it a long time ago and why many CPAers don't do it.

With that said, there are still some gems out there!

My only advice would be to have a very solid understanding of CPA and some experience before getting a coach. Coaching in this space is more for taking what you have to the next level

There is a limit to how much you can teach yourself about affiliate marketing. It's a good idea to get a coach or a mentor to guide you and help you find the right path. There are many ways to build an affiliate marketing business but it will take much longer going it alone.
