Funnel structure for landing page?

I am trying to design a landing page and i saw that some people are talking about landing pages with funnel structure as a rule the page to be high converting. But i don't quite understand what is a funnel structure and how to create a landing page with this structure.

I will appreciate if someone can give me more details?

    A traffic funnel is like a sorting process move your visitors down a sorting process to see what pages will convert a customer, here is a quick example:

    Page 1 - 100% enter
    Page 2 - 70% enter
    Page 3 - 20% enter
    Goal completion: 2%

    Because page three has dropped so much, you will need to modify it to keep getting a higher conversion on that particular page. So basically you are funneling people into conversions from page after page.



    There are reasons why you may not be getting sales through your traffic funnel system.
    - Visitors may have to go to too many steps or pages to convert.
    - They miss your call to action
    - Information may not make sense
    - Prices could be too high.

    If you focus of improving your traffic funnel as I have explained here you will get more conversions and more sales as what is shown.

    Thanks. I thought the funnel structure is to make a good layout on a one page landing page and position the page elements in a way that they will grab the attention of the visitor.
