Best ways to monetize my Facebook fan page?

Hi guys, I have a fan page with just over 1000 fans. Any thoughts on how to monetize my fans? I've tried polls (posting one poll question every other day), using TrustJacker when linking to articles, and trying to get my fans to sign up for my mailing list, but I've had very little success. My fan page is still growing but I'm not making much money from it (only about $15). I make a news post once a day.

What do you guys do to make money from your fans?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
