PPV Landing Page Noob Question

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone would help me understand the "landing page to offer concept"

Say I am trying to promote an email submit through PPV. I've read from plenty of folks that a landing page is a must however; when promoting an email submit should the landing page I create be something like "an image" that tells people about the offer and to click through to the "next page" to submit their email address? OR should it be a reworked landing page which iframes the section of the offer where an email submit is supposed to happen?

Which approach should I take?
1.
A Landing page (asking to click through ) > email submit page from network > conversion

OR

2.
Landing page which iframes the email submit form > conversion

You TEST both ways... track which works best.. then stick with the winning method.

If using landings pages, then you test multiple landing pages to see which works best.

    Simple as that.

Now, if you are going to use a lander for an email sub; one of the techniques you can use to increase conversion rates is to give visitors the actual instructions for completing the offer.

I know, it's nuts! But it works!

Last tip... try and use images for your landers - even if they're mostly text. I remember reading that some CPV/PPV companies might try adding contextual ad links on your LPs. So, watch out for that.

Typically the point of a landing page is to pre sell the offer to your audience. Iframing the offer can be usefull in some cases but this does not sound like one.

It really depends on the offer and how you are targeting to determine how you should design your landing page
