Content Locking : What type/niche site works great?

Warriors, What type of/niche site works great with content locking? Just examples of one or two would be fine. And how many article would be great for the site.

And a noob question , If I use content locking does that mean Google will be able to crawl the site?

Thanks all.

I'll give you an idea, write an eBook with desirable content and label it as a free download for your visitors, make a zip file with a "Read me" and a password zipped file with your eBook in it. In the read me give a link to the password which requires a survey to be complete before you can access it.

Let me know what you think

Actually I wanted the idea of "What type of site is better with content locking". I am quite good in making marketing project and business plan or projects. Indeed I do have some already as I made them for my University. So I am thinking whether it is possible to make some cash out of this also.

For the google part, of course google is only an anonymous visitor. But in general what you could do is all your locked content could show the first and second paragraph and then a sentence with a link stating the way to unlock the content. So at least google and others will be able to read the first few sentences.

Another niche that works very well is video game cheat codes.

I've also seen quite a few when you go to look at lyrics for a song. Might be something to checkout also or even downloads.

I'm doing movie, game niches and to be honest I found move the best. You just need to find a way to almost make the whole campaign autopilot since the payouts are low and you have to run several campaigns to reach 3-figure/day income.

    - Movies (risky)
    - TV shows (risky)
    - Images
    - Fonts
    - Ebooks
    - Hard to get info

... and yes, if you lock your content Google will still crawl your site (assuming it's crawlable to begin with).

Adscend Media is the #1 content locking network. Here are some things that we suggest to our publishers:
    • Ebooks (that you have the right to distribute)
    • Instructional guides or videos (e.g. video game tips; guitar lessons)
    • Fonts, wallpapers, Windows themes
    • Graphics: icons, stock photos/images, textures
    • Templates: web, Flash, Wordpress, forum themes, etc.
    • File conversion sites (doc, pdf, media)
    • Code, plugins, browser add-ons, royalty free sounds
    • Guitar tabs, bass tabs, sheet music, etc.
    • Music (that you have the right to distribute)
    • Software downloads (that you have the right to distribute)
    • Premium content area of your website
Basically you should think about what interests you and what you're good at, and then do something related to that. You'll be able to create the best content that way, and visitors will recognize the quality and be willing to unlock it.

Any thing will work in case of content locking. But you have to be a pro to prove all these things. You have to read and apply your own ideas to success in this section.
