Keyword or Product first?

Hello to everyone,

I'm starting a CPA campaign and came to a fork in the road. I'm new to this so my question is.

Do you select niche keywords first and then find a product to match.
OR
Do you select a product and find niche keywords to match the product.

If someone with a successful campaign or campaigns has this knowledge please respond.

    To tell you the truth, both strategies are viable and both can work well.

    Selecting a good offer as your first step is probably a little easier if you're just starting out. The best way to find offers that perform well is to ask your AM. The'll probably even have some suggestions on where to promote it.

    Once you have some experience running offer on a traffic source, you'll get a feel for what keywords & targets perform well, and you can potentially look for offers that pertain to them

    My suggestion would be to find several products that you like and then look up keywords or urls for that product. Narrow it down to 1 or 2 based on cost of traffic and then test.

    Both can work.

    Personally I usually start with the product. Because without a good offer/product that campaign is worthless.

    My suggestion is on Products, then keywords. If you choose & select the product well, then u can easily identify the exact no of relevant keywords for thet product as well. so 1st product, then next choose the keywords.
