Transfer Domains or Just name servers.

Hi Gang, I am with GOdaddy and I have found there service and support to be the worst i have EVER experienced. Of then they dont even read the support questions and just spam back a generic response that has wound me up over and over again.

My website performance with them has been absolutely disgusting and I cant believe they still say nothing is wrong with the service.

Because of this I wish to move my domains or hosting to HOSTGATOR.

Can you advise if its best to just repoint the nameservers or totally transfer the domain over ?

If I just change the name servers will the site appear on a different network
so i can use it for SEO .. linking to my other hosted sites.

IS there any point at all intransferring the domain rather than just changing name servers.

ALSO i wish to move a lot of my complete sites to hostagtor, could you suggest the best way to back them up and move them over ?

    there is not much wrong with having the domains registered at godaddy for now

    just use a new hoster like hostgator and change the dns name settings at godaddy
    thats fast normally

    later on you may choose anyother registrar
    but that has no urgency

    try moniker or namecheap

    you don't wont your domains at the same company as your hosting

    Just change over your nameservers to your new hosting account with HostGator. You can transfer your domain registrations to another domain registrar if you want to too but it's not a factor in your website's performance. I personally transferred all my domain registrations to Namecheap when they had transfer promos/coupons.

    but the domain provider does not affect seo but hosti,g does
