Another Affiliate Earning but Still Struggling

Hello,

I started a thread regarding my good experience with 7search months ago. I would like to thank those who left their tips, comments, etc.

Here's the thread:

http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...l#post7453967\

I'm posting this as a continuation to the same product that I am promoting. I mentioned in previous thread that I would create a website for the product and I would like to let you know that I was able to make it happen. While my 7search ads where still running, I was also creating my website dedicated for the niche. Not really regarding the product. I just want to make sure that the website will not die when the product is gone (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say).

My website is live for more than 2 months now. It was getting around 40+ average visitors per day. No sales - no conversion until one day.

It was Monday, I woke up late because I went out with my wife and friends. We had a get-together sort of a little party. When I checked my computer around 9 AM (I usually wakes up at 6:00 AM - prepare some food for breakfast. checks email at 7:00 AM and do some stretching thing or walk around the plaza - I have to keep healthy.), I was able to see my first commission. I was very happy during that time.

On Wednesday, another 2 sales were made - I saw a dramatic increase in my traffic during the day after I submitted a youtube video about my website. That was the highest traffic in a day and I made 2 sales. My visitors were 76 during that day. After that day, nothing important is happening except another 40+ visitors which is the average. I checked today and it goes up again but I'm not doing anything special now.

This week and onwards, I'm going to do some backlinking.

I ordered one video in fivver and one press release article in odesk. I spent $5 for each. I will submit the video to different video websites like youtube and I'll submit the press release article to different free press release websites and share each to social bookmarking, twitter and facebook.

after this submission campaign. I'm going to write or outsource some articles for backlinking. Maybe around 10 for now and I'll submit them to free article directories. I hope I can create more traffic this time. I believe that if I can reach 100 per day, I would be getting more sales.

Anyway, this is for now. I will keep you updated. I will leave all the updates here so that I can check back and see how I am doing.

After this backlinking thing, I will create my blog documenting how I make money online so that I can help those who are still new in doing this or those who wants to follow me in my journey. A lot of people have helped me in making this dream a reality (making money online) and I would like to return what I have accomplished so far.

Great job man, Keep on adding more testimonial videos for your product and link to your website.
Don't do this once and leave it, Just keep on creating videos and articles in daily basis and you will start to see some decent traffic coming and more sales.

    Good luck

THank you for that. I have a lot of things to learn about affiliate marketing. I think I'm going to create a weekly or monthly plan for this. And see the results per week or per month. Testing things

      Thank you so much.

Based on my experience, do not just learn and read about affiliate marketing or whatever you want to become in the internet. You have to act and be patient.

Apply what you have learned, make mistakes and move on. I'm just that lucky because I made money with my website after 3 months but i'm pretty sure that I still have a lot of things to learn. I studied and I acted.

The best thing that you should do here is to build a business. Building a business is different from making a money. A lot of people fail because they just want to make money online (quick cash). Consider it as your business. At first, it won't make you earn yet (even $1) maybe months or years but don't give up. In the future, you'll get the right formula for it and you'll probably learn from it. Just be patient, don't give up and be serious with what you do. Do what you love most.select your niche and be good at it.

One thing, there are a lot of people here who are willing to help for free. Do not buy or hire those who are saying that they have to formula that can make you earn hundreds or thousands of dollars quickly. There's no quick thing here. you need to work for it and it takes time.

I'm not a guru or a well experienced affiliate guy but those are what I have learned so far.

I will be documenting my journey in my blog. Still creating it. I will inform you once I have it. Maybe, you will get some inspiration or perhaps some tips in my blog.

Thank you very much for commenting in my thread.

Did the additional 2 sales come from the Youtube video? Are you using some kind of tracking solution (like Prosper202) to figure out where sales are coming from? You should create a unique tracking link for each video, press release and 7search campaign to see what works for your site!

I haven't used any tracking yet. I don't know where I got the sales from.

I think I'm going to do that so that I can optimize and focus on my strength and do some tweaking in my weaknesses. I'll use Prosper202. Thanks for letting me know about that.

All are free traffic. They are all organic. 70 + % is coming from google search. I also have some twitter, facebook, youtube, and some article and links traffic. Still working on backlinking - next month I'll add more articles. Maybe around 2-3 per week to update it.

Do you ever get a problem with information overload and time management? This used to drive me crazy

Yes, I was able to experience information overload however I was able to get rid of it when I started taking actions. Other people's stories are just inspiration. I get some ideas from them. The best teacher here is experience and if you keep on reading and don't start taking actions and making mistakes, then nothing will happen. I make mistakes and learn from them. I move on and make my own formula which makes me money and stick with it.

Time management: I never had that problem. I have always been good at doing it.

I set goals. (Daily, weekly, monthly, yearly and long term goals). Having a paper and pen handy with you is a good idea. I write down my goals. I always ask myself, what I want after this day or after a week.

      Here's a sample: Weekly Goal

add 3 posts in my website
leave 10 comments per day in blogs and leave links
update twitter and facebook each day
Of course I never forget my daily routines and my time with my family, self and friends.

      Monday : 5:00 - 5:30 = jog or do some stretching
5:30 - 6:00 = relax (watch news, read news paper, coffee)
7:00 - 8:00 = talk to my wife and accompany her to her work
8:00 - 9:00 = reserved for other things or start with work
9:00 - 10:00 = write 1-3 articles and add to website and schedule it to get posted (monday, Thursday, Sunday)
      10:00 - 11:00 = leave comments to blog
      11:00 - 12:00 facebook and twitter time
      12:00 - 1:00 - lunch time
      1:00 - 2:00 - warrior time
2:00 - 3:00 - reserved for unfinished tasks like writing, etc.
3:00-onwards- family time> other tasks like other projects.

I always do this so that I have a guide and see how I am doing things. I keep records so that I can see my progress. This also reminds me of what I did wrong and what I did right. I give time and effort to my business online. I don't have any day job now because I gave it up. I decided to become a full time IM just this year.

I had a day job but got too tired working for somebody for a fixed rate. If giving my day job while I'm still on the process of creating my online business a mistake, then I will learn from it and move on. Anyway, I can still get back there just to earn some extra cash without leaving my IM business. It's just a matter of correct time management.
