How do you join an affiliate company as a merchant?

Whats usually required of you?

I have a pay day loan offer that i would like to promote. How do they track your completed offers? Once your accepted Do you need to pay them in advance or do they ask for payment monthly? How do go ahead and approach them the right way in order to get accepted?

Hoping you big guns out there have some pearls to offer.

I don't have experience as a merchant, but I believe it varies from network to network. So your best option would be to contact them.

This very much depends on who you are, and what you can offer.

Basically, you will need to have the following available:

    1. a competitive payout

    2. a website that converts

    3. good quality creative material

Then, it depends on the network, but you are likely to be asked to pre-pay for a while unless you can prove a track record of payments.

    I hope that helps.

      agreed

be careful with prepays though. there are some cases where networks got paid but didn't deliver and then the refund can be a hassle. these payment issues go both ways

regarding how they track the sales :
all cpa networks have a tracking software and they will ask you to add a pixel on your order confirmation page. once the user loads the page after the purchase itll fire and the network will get credited for the sale ( which they pass on to their pubs)

I've run two affiliate programs on ShareASale and one on Clixgalore for almost 8 years now.

In both cases, they want a deposit to open an account and will review your website to ensure you're a company they want to do business with. They'll give you a bit of code to add to your post-conversion page to record the commissions and assign them to the affiliates.

Once that's live and they've tested it, you'll need to set up your commission settings, your program terms for affiliates to agree to, and upload a set of creatives (ads) for the affiliates to use in promoting your offer. Once all THAT is done your program can go live.

All the networks I've seen do require prepayment of commissions -- so you start out with a deposit, and you keep a credit card or bank account on file which will be used to transfer more money when your balance runs low as affiliates earn commissions. If your balance ever hits $0 your program goes offline and your affiliates' links go dead -- you stop getting traffic until you fix your money problems.

As for "how to approach" the networks... uh, just fill out the merchant application It's just a business transaction.

Every network is different. Some require an exorbitant amount of money while others don't have a minimum. You'll just have to ask.
