Can you please share some more information on how you were promoting this?

I think it really depends on where you buy the traffic. For example, here is a list of their publishers getting 10,000+ impressions daily:

If you buy placement on a certain site and create a good banner for a good offer you might be able to make it profitable.

My reason for asking the question was basically whether there is a lot of bot/fake traffic on those sites. It's dirt cheap traffic there has to be a reason why not many other people where targeting it.

      But here's what I did.

I used the Pirates 101 gaming offer from Peerfly and just used their banner. I placed the banner on 3 different gaming sites on Project Wonderful targeting USA traffic only.

Since Project Wonderful wouldn't allow me to direct link to the offer, I used a landing page. Basically I just grabbed some images from the site and added a call to action and an arrow to the button to click through to the site.

banner #1 got 64 clicks with a cpc of $.02
      banner#2 got 194 clicks with a cpc of $.01
      banner#3 got 5 clicks with a cpc of $.11

Out of those 263 only 7 visitors clicked through to the site.

SerpSlayer it could be a possibility(bot/fake traffic), also consider your banner placement & your banner design

As I said in my other post, the banner got 263 clicks. So I don't think that was the banner was the problem unless the vast majority of clicks were fake. It only cost me $5 but I just wondered it was worth wasting anymore of my time or money on Project Wonderful.

    Alright thanks for the info.

If you just started this campaign I would keep testing things. Don't walk away too quickly.

I would really take into account your ad's text, and landing page.

This is what controls conversions a lot. Instead of trying just the basic setup like it sounds you have, really put some thought into things, and make it REAL creative. Don't just do a simple page with a call to action, you need to bring some heat. Then test some things. This is what separates the pros from the beginners.

Try to find an angle to pitch the offer from.

If you don't mind share your ad and landing page, and we can give you advice.

PM your lander to some of these folks (not me please). It will be a lot quicker than going back and forth here.

Or...you could just start a WSO and tell people you found a super secret traffic source with gazillions of views for cheap cheap...somebody else has
