    Yes, I get it..

Many people do it but most of them fail miserably due to various issues like Cash Flow, Lack of Knowledge,etc..

    So, Not everyone succeeds..

Tho, You can start your own network as well If you have everything ready

    Regards

They are usually pretty passionate affiliates, or people looking to make an easy buck.

Setting up an affiliate/CPA network isn't hard, but running it where the challenge comes in.

You mean starting your own CPA network?

It starts with a huge budget, then from there you need to have lots of connections in the industry to ensure you get the word out of your network and that merchants and affiliates sign up, you need staff to process everything, all the legal stuff.

Often people think this is an easy task, it's actually extremely difficult to do properly

Smaxor from Ads4Dough had one of the best descriptions of a CPA Network I've heard. He said it's effectively the same as running a bank and extending credit to advertisers (who, in the bank analogy, would be borrowers) using money borrowed from affiliates (who are, in this case, the people depositing cash into their bank accounts.)

If a borrower doesn't pay back a bank loan, the bank had better have enough cash in reserve to make it possible for depositors to cash out if they need to. It's the same for an affiliate network -- if you have a temporary cashflow crisis and you can't afford to pay even a couple of publishers, word will get out and you'll have a run on the bank (in this case, publishers stopping traffic.)

So in short, you either need A LOT of financing to run a CPA network successfully or a very long payment schedule for your publishers.

Anyone know where that article is? I remember that was really interesting & probably useful for explaining a situation to some people. I tried his oooff blog & doesn't look like a4d has a blog.

We have a family friend who runs a CPA network. He is constantly getting screwed from Advertisers and is in court all the time. A few months ago, a company that is a household name, did not pay him for more than $60,000 of Publisher payouts, which he already paid. Having your own CPA network - fergedaboutit.

I say forget about running your own CPA network, create your own product and promote it via CPA networks instead!

Having own CPA is very ,very hard.
You need a very good budget to make script ,advertise your network and compete with about 500 networks .
Also to get some publishers ,advertisers you need to have smth unique which nobody have .
Maybe ,only maybe in this way in some months you can succeed ( but it also depends on advertising).
