Paid solos - how do I choose the best service

What's the best way to choose a paid solo ad service? I'm gonna buy 100 clicks to begin with but, there are so many to choose from and they vary in price - I'm kinda lost.
What are the criteria that you look for when selecting who to give your money to?
I don't want this thread to become a long list of recommendations to a particular person/list. It would be far more useful to me to get some advise on how to go about selecting one myself. What should I base my judgment on? Is it just a blind gamble? I'm a beginner so, your advise is most welcome. Thanks

    Lots of things to consider...
    • Your offer-to-list match: is your offer a good match for the list's target market
    • How credible the ezine/newsletter owner or solo ad mailer is
    • How often does he or she mail: not too much; not too little
    • Open rate history: are people even opening and reading the emails
    • How many subscribers: big lists are great, but they don't always mean they're good

Thanks for your advise jaggyjay. I just took a 100 click offer and I'm very happy with the results. I wonder how important it is to switch things up by using different lists? Is it important to continuously source new solo ad lists? Or is it a case of if it aint broke, dont fix it?

Please share! How did you end up finding the provider? What did you promote, direct to an offer or a squeeze page with an opt in?

There is always further! Even if you got a great response on your 1st attempt... You can optimize your efforts for greater and greater success.

So, keep going, add on some new 'tests' and keep track of your results... Patterns will emerge and you'll get more efficient and more effective over time.

      Yup, all great things.

See if you can pay a % before and a % after they mail it.

So they don't run off with your money.

      And setup tracking.
