I made Page 1 on Google.... now what?

Hi everyone,
I’m a Designer / Front end web developer and I've been involved in creating ads, landing pages, you name it, in the Dating industry. Now that I’m at home without a day job I’ve found myself wondering how I could use my skills in the industry to make money from home.

I made a (50/50) deal with a friend to develop some sites for a couple URLs he owns.. I got one of the sites up and I’ve been slowly (very slowly) adding my own content . Finally, I’ve got 1st page ranking for the keywords I was targeting and now I’m working on getting the #1 position.

Currently, with zero marketing and only SEO / direct traffic my site is making about $250-$300 per 1000 visits (I don’t know if that is good or average or bad), I get about 1400-1600 visits and 1200 clicks a month.
Google won’t let me run ads with them yet. They are telling me that I don’t have enough content and there are too may outbound links (even though they rank me on the first page for fairly competitive keywords). My landing page is my home page which is basically a top 10 ten dating site list.

My main questions are.. do my current numbers justify spending money on advertising and what are the best options for me with this kind of site. I’m a total newbie with the marketing end of all this so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

-Oscar

I would add more content and build the site.

Add other top 10 ten list that fit your niche. Dating advice ect...

I would build it out before going to paid advertising.

Continue with SEO and content creation. Invest in media buys and other paid traffic platforms - you really want to scale this up now!

    Congrats

I would say amazing stats, ~1600visits and 1200 clicks, imagine if you have 10k visits?
Keep you site growing, add more good content, do some SEO.
    That's long term income.

How about building your own white label dating site?

Very simple to do, there's a few I'd recommend.

Once you've done this, you'll be able to receive recurring revenue from your dating leads, building an asset value, as opposed to simply getting the CPL price.

You can then build upon the SEO traffic you've got now, maybe build some more properties that target different keywords, get them ranking and use them all as feeder sites for your white label property(s).

You've got a small success, build on that, replicate what you have done so far to make this into a large success.

Great suggestions here, thanks everyone. I do plan building the site out and branching out to every niche possible, it's just going slower than I'd like.

I am curious what a small test would produce. Although I don't anticipate the traffic to be near the quality the seo and direct traffic.

Hey there, one thing I would defo do on your page (assuming that I have your site which I think I do) is either cloak the links or make them s*********n . com/match or date or ourtime etc and redirect to where you want them to go.

The affiliate links you have in dont look the best, they look spammy

Also I can see why G arent letting you put adsense in there, there is literally no content lol

Though I do like the site and its a cracking emd.

Though for for clicks you should be making more than you are.

Thanks, I plan on having a redirect page for all my links (/go/sitename) it will make it easier for me to update them anyway.

I think I'm getting multiple clicks from a single visit so that might be contributing to the high clicks.

It's frustrating for me that there are not a lot of landing page choices offered from the dating sites I'm promoting. When I was working in the industry I had offered hundreds of options for our affiliates.

Sign up for more networks if you haven't yet, and use a LP before the offer to pitch it better.

If you want to try advertising your page, I would recommend Plenty of Fish ads. Great for dating traffic and easy to use.
