Landing Page Lead Capture

I am about to launch my first campaigns. I am split testing Landing Pages and Direct Linking. I have 3 separate offers that i am split testing this way.

When using a landing page, I will be pre-selling the offer. In addition, I want to implement an email capture for list building.

Will this contribute to a visitors "interest fatigue" by pitching an optin before they click through to the offer?

    What is the traffic source?

It will be easier on PPC, than Social. But it is all relative, you have to test.

Personally I highly suggest holding off on the email squeeze until you get it converting with a LP first.

Then test an email squeeze. Once you know the traffic converts.

Traffic Source will be 7Search and the offers are from PeerFly in the Over 40 Dating Niche.

When using lead capturing you can't simply think about an offer, you have to think about long-term promotion. Initially, you will get worse results with lead capturing than with simple landing pages or direct linking. If you are direct linking, you expose 100% of the visitors to the offer, but if you capture leads chances are that more than 50% of your visitors won't even subscribe, so you lose them without even exposing them to an offer.

However, you will be getting subscribers and will be able to market products to them in the long run. So, if you have a good thank you page, a consistent autoresponder series and some good offers to promote on a regular basis, you can make money with the people on your list and turn a great ROI with your campaigns after a few weeks.

Anyway, if you're new to CPA or to the traffic source, I don't recommend you to capture leads. The process will become more complicated, there will be more metrics involved in the optimization process and tracking the campaign will be tougher. In the beginning, just direct link or use simple landing pages to get familiar with the process and find out what are the good converting offers. Then, in the future consider lead capturing.

Remember, we have to walk before we run.

Thanks Greedy, Good advice William. I'll stick with DL's and Simple LP's. I felt I was getting ahead of myself. I do have products and an email series for each, but I I'll wait and get profitable before I start the captures.

Yes, first of all test to see if the offer converts. If you are profitable then test with email capture and see if you can get the conversion rate higher.

Capturing an email is great, because if they are not interested in that particular offer you can always sell them something else along the way.

You know they are interested in the topic, but not just that product.
