Is this a good incentive to get people to sign up for mailing list?

As an incentive to get people to sign up for my list, am I allowed to say
"Sign up for our list and get a chance to win an iphone5" and then when they opt in, I send them to an email submit affiliate offer for an iphone 5 as my thank you page.

Or what about "we're giving away Burger King gift cards to 5 lucky subscribers on our list. Sign up now".

Is this method allowed by affiliate networks? I know some people offer a real product as a reward (like a t shirt) for subscribing to a specific list but I'm wondering if email submits are allowed.

Thanks

You can try depends on the traffic.

I usually don't recommend using email squeezes to promote email submits.

People get turned off, by having to enter their info twice.

But depends on your source, maybe it can work, I would just test without the squeeze page first.

It's ok, I've found better success by giving them something, like a free ebook, etc personally

  • If you're gonna do this - select an email sub offer that allows pre-pop.
