Be it vanilla SEO, PPC, SMM, Viral Marketing - anything you need will require a tremendous effort from your end.

Testing is the key. Pick a source. Try it. Go wrong. Try it some more. Go even more Wrong. Try it again some more.

The forum is filled with a plethora of good content, read and device your steps.

As you state yourself, Nothing is easy.

^Couldn't say it better. Stick with one source and keep testing.

Analyze your demo target and from there you can choose a traffic source

I would have to say 7search just because there is a lot of room for error since the traffic is not so expensive. I made my first profits from 7search after going to Facebook and POF.

About a year ago PPC Coach made a video about Maxbounty and 7search and after I watched it I went to 7search and created some ads and made some money right away. It was a real boost of confidence since I didn't make a dime in the other paid traffic sources. Not to say they don't work it just takes a lot more work and money to get into those traffic sources.

They are all pretty easy to learn..

A lot more difficult to Master.

But choose a method of traffic you want to use first like PPC, PPV, Media Buying.

From there you can make calculated decisions on where to buy traffic.

Yea, firstly look at some youtube videos, get some courses. I love PPC.

It is important that you are focused in just one advertising network and advertising type and master it!

I am working with Bing Ads, it is not easiest one but you can implement it fast

Good traffic sources for starting out are POF Ads, PPV, and 7Search/Bing Ads.

I personally find POF one of the more user friendly paid traffic sources..

I agree, and right now may be a great time for someone just starting out to get their feet wet. Many of the previous advertisers have had their game knocked down with the recent rule changes, so the playing field should be more level for newcomers.

As a newbie I guess FB could be a better option to start with because you can get started with CPC rather than CPM, so you will be paying only when someone clicks and not otherwise.

According to My experience, the best paid traffic is solo ads. Period. There is nothing that comes close to having your email sent out to others peoples list.

Go for it, it has my highest recommendations

    regards Hans

Facebook can be hard when you're starting out due to its large amount of volume it has.

Also their strict approval policies make you spend more time getting ads approved than actually running them and learning fundamentals.

The main idea is just focusing on a particular traffic source and keep testing, stop wasting money buying different guides from gurus on how to make money but spend your cash on your business paying for traffic, after a while you will be a guru too. hope this helps??

Media Buys, a lot of people are put off by this term but it has the most control hands down. You select the sites, ad blocks, banners. You can target by location, browser type, OS type, mobile/pc type

Imagine promoting an Iphone5 offer to only those visitors browsing a website using an iphone4S - thats the kind of targeting you want

Bing and 7Search are good for newies. They are much easier going than Adwords and you can normally find a coupon somewhere to help you get started.
Beware of Bing coupons though, may newbies use them only to get their accounts banned.

Bing banns 90% of coupons users, affiliate marketer or not.

    7Search coupons work great though.

7Search is cheaper than Bing, but the traffic quality and volume is lower. However, it is probably easier (not better in my opinion, just easier) to start off with 7search since they allow direct linking and have a built in keyword search tool.
I agree Bing settings, approval process, and bidding is a bit more complex than 7Search. But it has more volume.

POF is good for several reasons: easy to use; small deposits; dating offers convert pretty easily; reasonably fast ad approval; excellent support from Ben and the team.

The problem with Facebook advertising is that the user isn't actively searching for a particular keyword/solution etc. Therefore resulting in low conversion rates. I tried Facebook advertising a while back when they still allowed direct linking and got hundreds of people clicking on the add but 0 conversions.

If you want to test how things convert then I think it's best to start with PPC.

Then you know what you get and only pay for what you get.

I started out testing with PPV, CPM and the results are disastrous so far. Lot of money gone and hardly any traffic.

I would highly recommend PPC and PPV traffic as they are pretty similar and relatively easy to learn. Just check and make sure the keywords you target has decent traffic before you bid.

I wouldn't really suggest doing CPM, as these are more for the big boys for building brand awareness.

There are many success stories with POF, but you just have to take note the niche you are promoting.
