POF - Is it a stable traffic source for you?

Like the title says, do you find POF ads to be a "stable" revenue source? I'll start, i think it's good...but pretty volatile. One month can do pretty good, the next will suck. My AM told me once that adding more and more campaigns would make things "stable" in the long run, i'm adding campaigns and still waiting for that stability...

It is a tough question because it really depends on your approach.

If you are primed for the demands of constant testing, then POF can be a very stable income. But of course, this won't ring true for somebody who wants to set-and-forget campaigns. Some will take profitable campaigns and port them to other platforms, looking to run the hell out of a winning idea for as long as possible while others won't.

So while it's possible to have some stable campaigns (I do have a few myself), no, I wouldn't say POF or any other platform is a route to go if you want to be hands-off in the long-term. But it can be a very lucrative way to do business if you are more adaptable.

You'll definitely be doing tweaking, optimization and rotating on a daily basis to keep most campaigns alive on PoF indefinitely. If you put in that amount of effort it can be relatively stable, however I wouldn't expect you to be able to sit on your butt doing nothing and still make money.

For me there is no "set it and forget it" with POF, ads require constant attention and tweaking..

Is anybody running anything besides dating ads on there? I ran a campaign today, and I know most will say 120k impressions is nothing, but it cost me $60 bucks and I got no sales. It's a clickbank product. When I go on there all I see are dating website ads... just curious if trying to think outside the box got me today. =)

a lot of people almost swear by pof, i find it a little too hit or miss. consequently i'm slowly moving away from it towards other traffic sources

There is actually a lot good money to be made outside of dating, if you pay attention to targeting.

Newbies just start with dating do to the lower payouts, it is easier to test.

Which traffic sources would be good alternatives to POF in terms of being more "set and forget" so that once a campaign is running with a decent/good ROI you can work on building more and more campaigns, not remaking new ads/banners & babysitting existing campaigns every 3-4 days?...Which would mean something more "stable" also...
