Can anyone help me make sense of my affiliate link i`m confused ????

Hi guys,

I just joined a new CPA network and got approved for my first offer but their links and set up are totally different from my other cpa network and i really not understand the links i feel stupid saying this !!

Heres the links they sent me..

If you are using a system that sends unique Click ID's each time someone clicks on the link, please use &s2= instead. Otherwise, use &s1= to send us your subaffiliate ids.


If you are using HitPath specifically, you can send unique subids and affiliate subids using the following method: &s1=xxagentidxx&s2=jjhitjj (For DT use &s1=%LINK&s2=%SUBID1)

So can any of you guys help me out here ? i dont even understand why when i paste the link into the broswer (http://nvsclick.com/?a=7396&c=13680&s1=) it doesnt show the offer ?? i just thought you add a subid on the end and thats it ?

    If the offer doesn't show up it can be the geo-redirection or the link may have issues.

    About the subids, it's just in case you will use the network's subids to track the campaign.

    If you will use dynamic subids (if you have a software or script that adds dynamic values to the subids), they as you to use the parameter s2=, instead of s1=.

    For example, if you're using Prosper202 with tokens and are allowing P202 to set the values of the subids, then use s2. If you are doing media buying (just an example) and inserting fixed subids for each link, then you can use s1.

    Ok i get the s2 part, But this is the link i`m given `http://nvsclick.com/?a=7396&c=13680&s1=` so its broken right ?

      Looks like a standard link from a network running cake. Doesn't look malformed at all.

      The a=XXXXX is your affiliate id with the network, the c=XXXXX is the campaign id.

      s1= is left blank for you to put in your subid1. You can remove it if you don't want it or can leave it blank. You can add an &s2= if you want, etc.

      It's likely not showing you the expected page as there is a geo redirect and you are not in the correct location for the offer (that's what I see when I click the link as well).

    This question is best for your AM, the &s1= is normally where you would add your subid for tracking

    I fully understand how geo-redirection works and i`m pretty sure theres a problem with this link `or` this is just something in IM i`ve never seen before,

    Normally when a offer isn`t alowed in my county `UK` some other rubbish coupon or something like that is show but with this link i get this http://awesomescreenshot.com/04613u07db

      In some cases, its not possible to view offers with free proxies like you used. Instead try some VPN or head over to your affiliate manager and ask for the screenshot of the offer's landing page or the direct link to that landing page.

    My AM isn`t replying to my emails guess its holiday time wish someone could check this link from the US yeah ok maybe some offers arnt shown with free proxies but i`ve never seen one, is it a problem for someone in the US to click the link and tell me what they see ??

      If you have any friends residing in US then you can ask them to check out orelse google for some free vpn and try using that.
      Also check out in offervault they tend to have screenshot of all offers.

    yeah i know what the offer looks like i requested it, But i`ve never had a problem before where i dont even know if the link is working lol

    The best you can do is contact your affiliate manager. You can also send some traffic to the link and see what happens. If you see that clicks and conversions are being recorded properly chances are that the link is working fine (but I'd contact the AM before doing this).
