What's the deal with Neverblue and Clickbooth?

26 replies
Background: I have been an Amazon affiliate with for two years and just started a new site for CPA offers. For this I am currently an affiliate with Peerfly and MaxBounty (now CPA Goat) too.

Applied to Neverblue and Clickbooth--was denied. Was only given a generic list of possible reasons. Appealed to Neverblue (through the form provided) and wasn't even given a reply. Several days later, I wrote back to ask if they had reviewed it, and they said they had no appeal and advised me to appeal again. So I did and again got no reply.

Are they even worth bothering with? The two of them are the top 2 networks according to this article. But what's the deal? Do they only approve veteran affiliates? Are they disorganized or what?

Any insight is appreciated.

    I've found both are reasonable to get into, perhaps there was an issue with something on your application?

    Maybe try to apply to peerfly and maxbounty? - they can be a little more forgiving.

      Called Neverblue and was only given an option to leave a message. I did, but who knows if anything will come from that.

      Called Clickbooth and was told they don't talk to anybody. I can either reply to email denial or try again in six months. Found email denial and realized I had already appealed to them too.

      So I guess that's that. Is MediaWhiz the next option, or is there a better network for email and zip submits?

      Can't contact them on Linkedin since I'm not connected to them. I don't have a facebook profile. Twitter profile is my brand and I don't want others seeing a business tweet.

      LeadSmack offered me an open door. I might just move on and try them. It's probably not wise to spread around to too many networks, right?

        Hello Goldbiz,

        I got approved by neverblue, I called them up after applying to them and told how I plan on promoting offers based on which they sent me a mail that I've cleared the first round. Then I had to submit some earnings proof, which I did and then I get a call from them and I told the Affiliate manager how I plan on promoting offers, etc and finally I got approved.

    Both of the are good networks but if you are just getting started join Maxbounty or Peerfly instead as they are easy to get approved.

      Interesting. They didn't even speak with me when I called, other than to say they wouldn't speak with me.

      Anyway, I was good without them before trying, and I'll be fine without them now. They may be great networks, but they aren't the only games in town. Peerfly, MaxBounty, and LeadSmack welcomed me. I appreciate that. So as long as they work well, I'll bring the millions to them.

      I was also considering trying W4 and MediaWhiz. Is it customary to work with several networks? Anything wrong with that? Insights on W4 or MediaWhiz?

    You need to give them a phone call, and actually talk to someone. If you do this, you will be accepted 99% of the time. You do need to know a bit of what you are talking about. At least know how you will promote offers.

    There are so many options out there, don't waste your time on networks that take the uppity approach imho.

      That's kind of how I feel.

      By the way, is it customary for a network to ask your affiliate ID and AM at your other networks? LeadSmack wants to know, but that seems a little personal. Am I wrong?

    I wouldn't worry. They just want to keep scammers off.

    The less fraud on the network, the less fake/bad leads, the less payment issues.

      Yeah, I respectfully declined that part. They still approved me. Sometimes I get questions because my business address is USA but my IP address (which I apply with) is in Europe. Maybe it was that.

      @Aura
      I'm not sure my site would fit well with content locking. Plus, I personally don't get involved with certain verticals/subjects. So I like being the one to make that choice, rather than not knowing what random stuff is being shown to my audience.

      @LEClickbooth
      PM coming your way. That's squared away for you to make the offer.

    Then an associate contacts me in post #21 above. She invites me to reapply, so I pm the details. I was thinking, "I don't really want to waste my time with this, but maybe they really are squared away and this is just an unusual situation."

    So they send me an email saying that they didnt receive my appeal, and ask me to fill out another one. So I did--same as before. Clicked submit, and the system said they'll get back to me in 72 hours. A few days later, an associate writes me to say they never received an appeal from me (that's the second time). She asked me to directly reply to her email with the same questions as before.

    By this point I'm thinking, this really seems like a wild goose chase. And how could a successful company be so disorganized? But at least I knew she would receive the info directly this time. So I submitted my answers for the third time. A few days later they finally replied: denied! And again with the same sorry generic denial. "It could be one of the following reasons..."

    Man I hate wasting time. The only thing worse than that is when somebody gives me false hope and persuades me to waste time.

    I hope Clickbooth is working well for everybody else. More power to you. But they remind me too much of big companies you hate to deal with because their customer svc sucks, but you have to because you there is no other choice. I'll take door #2 please.
