Subdirectories in PPV traffic

Hi,
If i set URLs with a PPV traffic source like lead impact or directcpv for example.com, will i only get traffic from example.com unless i enter other subdirectories like example.com/otherpage if i want traffic from example.com/otherpage?

If you bid on "example.com", you'll get traffic from "example.com" depending on your bid.

In CPV (aka PPV) the highest bidder gets the lion's share of the traffic.

You *may* also get traffic from "example.com/otherpage" -- assuming there's nobody (or few people) bidding on that url.

Remember that CPV networks use complex string-matching algorithms, so they will match "example.com" to "example.com/whatever"; but again, depends on how many bidders there are for target url. However, they won't match "example.com/whatever" to just "example.com".

Also, you may find you get ZERO traffic for a specific URL (ie: example.com); then all of a sudden you start getting tons of it. Happens all the time when high bidders exhaust their budgets and start dropping like flies.

So, a bidding strategy you can use is to bid on just "example.com" and keep a close eye on traffic and conversion fluctuations. Record the window of time spikes occur - then only bid during that specific window of time.

Time consuming? Yes. Always works? No. But it can be well worth the effort depending on your goal?

    Hope this help.
