SO basically I know to get cheap FB ad clicks you need to use CPM.

But if CPM is the only way to get cheap clicks, then what is the point of CPC?

Thanks.

Assume if you don't get any click from CPM

When starting out and testing a big batch of ads it usually cheap to do CPC.

When things are converting, it is always cheaper to switch them to CPM ads in theory.

Unfortunately, Facebook is always tweaking things, I've seen times when it is best to use CPC and sometimes its way better to use CPM.

What I do personally is start with CPC, then after I have a few good ads try making CPM versions of them to see how it does, but keeping the CPC running as well.

If you know what you're doing, CPM is way cheaper. With a good CTR you can be getting very cheap clicks. For the same traffic, you'd be paying a lot more with CPC.

High CTR depends on 2 things.

    1) image
    2) targeting

I've been able to hit 0.4% CTR with wide targeting (no interests) and I have heard of people hitting over 8% with tight targeting (interest or UIDs).
