What's the next step for a newbie?

I started CPA marketing at the beginning of May, and I've been learning as much as I can...but in the last couple days I've hit a roadblock, where I haven't been making much progress. The problem is that I don't know what my next step should be to continue learning and improving. What should I do next?

I ran my first campaign (for a dating site) on PoF to learn the basics. I picked an angle, set up a landing page, split-tested images/headlines/copy, and figured out tracking with Prosper202 and Peerfly subids. Despite all this, my campaign is still losing money. (Which is fine...I wasn't really expecting to make money off my first campaign.)

Learning the basics was easy enough; there are plenty of guides to walk you through how to set up a campaign and build a landing page. But where do you go from there? What do you do to improve after you've learned the basics? What kind of skills and experience separate the CPA masters who are earning thousands of dollars a month, from the folks like me who understand the basics but still run money-losing campaigns? I want to keep working at CPA in order to master it, but I don't have a very good sense of what I need to be doing next.

Here are two things I suggest...

    - Keep testing, you've only done 1 campaign. The majority of campaigns will fail even if you are a "CPA Master." The pros just keep testing until they find a good campaign and scale it. 1 campaign is nothing.

    - Keep researching. Read all you can, search and dig dig on Warrior Forum for all the Plenty of Fish info you can find. Make it your job to read everything online about POF Ads. Read everything.

    - Research your competition like crazy.

So if you dedicate yourself to succeeding you'll get there.

Like what Greedy mentioned. It's really lucky for some to profit from their first campaign, but most will tend to lose money. Don't fred over it and continue searching for more offers. If the offer still doesn't convert after some time, kill it and move on.

Learn more on how to better your research and continue to work it until you get there.

It sounds like you need to keep pumping out campaigns, try different variations and angles, but keep with that one traffic source until you learn it
