My advice is stick with what you initially choose. Do your homework before you start. Start off by determining your niche ... lets say weight loss (market) > raspberry ketone diet pill (niche)

Next your going to want to do some keyword research ... you could target broad keywords like "lose weight" but how likely do you think this will convert when they see 100 other offers. So we dig a little deeper and find a list of about 10 - 20 keywords (something you can easily manage)

Next, sorry to say it but your gonna have to fork over some money. You need results so that you can figure out what to tweak in your campaign.

    1. If you keyword is not getting impressions = raise keyword bid
    2. If you are getting impressions but no clicks = change ad text / banner display
    3. If you are getting clicks but no conversion = change landing page / offer

if you customize each ad to a specific keyword you can hone in its full potential and make money from any keyword. After you find a baseline where your profit is more than your expenses I would recommend keeping that constant and then A|B testing to increase even further.

    Hope this helps

You are going to have to loss money in testing, that is just the nature of CPA.

So don't waste your time or energy fearing this.

Some good CPA Networks for newbies are... MaxBounty, Peerfly, & NeverBlue.

Some good CPC networks for newbies are... Bing Ads & 7Search.

    Some other pointers:

    - Read all you can.

    - Use tracking like Tracking202

    - Learn to build landing pages.

    - Don't jump around, stay focused.

    - Be persistent.

Pick 1 traffic source and master it. Don't blow your funds in 4 different networks, you won't learn how to optimize anything.

Set a budget of say $1000, divide that into 4 months so $250/month. Spend that on one ad network and just focus the month on learning how to use that specific network.

Alot of people will just drop money wherever they can and then come here posting about how mad they are that they lost money, you see this alot with 7search.

Meanwhile people like me have campaigns running on 7search that are generating an 80% ROI because we spent the time to learn how to use their system and tune our campaigns.

I have a campaign sitting on 7search right now which is costing me about $3 per day, but I'm making $5 per day off it. I have to do nothing to it, every day like clockwork I make $5 off it.

It's not a huge amount of money, but that's $60 profit/month or $720 over the course of the year and it's essentially hands-off. And I could easily scale it up, but I'm spending my time now learning a different traffic source as I believe in not putting all my eggs in one basket
