Thanks to those who ceaselessly share on the forum. I have been planning for the post for a while, and here is some of my experience about how to use pictures in advertising.1. Use close shot of people.

Close shot can attract more attention and make the attention convert to action. People all have strong curiosity about who the normal person (may be more handsome or more beautiful than average) on the advertisement is, what happened to the person that makes the person perform in that way in the viewer's sight. People are looking for stories about the person.

2. Colors of picture are important

The overall color of the picture is one of the determinants of CTR. If you want to gain CTR from a row of 4-6 advertisements, except standing out from the competing advertisements, you should also take the original color (blue and grey) of the facebook page into account. Thus, bright and colorful pictures' CTRs are always good. Yellow and orange pictures' effects are always good, because yellow is inverse color of FB's blue. It is also important to note that pictures have clean and dark background occupy the most visual area.

3. Frames are helpful in improving CTR

Different pictures accompanied by same frame, the effects may be different. Sometimes the frame will make the picture distinct in the environment of facebook or imply something. If you do so too, I strongly recommend you to read the copy a few times and weigh every word. You can also give the copy a few criteria.
1) Whether it clearly presents what you want your visitors do in detail after they click. Not "please click", but "please click and apply" "enter your email and get free book" which have clear directive words.
2) Do they present well why visitors need to click the advertisement? Why should they click your ads? There has to be a reason. If no, then create one. Why normal people click advertisements is different from why you click advertisements randomly for spy. They click for an emotion or some requests. Here you should learn to think from others' perspectives.
3) Use words of action. Some specific and directive words can excite people to imagine specific image of an action. For example, does "join now" have more impact or "Grab this excellent gift","Take it","Claim yours", "Get yours now"?

These criteria in the evaluation can be adjusted according to the personal preferences in the tests.
