Had I not been tracking my different ads, I wouldn't have known that the ad with the least amount of clicks and lowest CTR was actually my best performing one. Actually, the only one that performed at all.
I know there's very little data here, but it was enough for me to pause the ads that weren't performing and create a few others similar to the one that did perform.
The landing page was the same for all 3 ads; all that changed was the ad copy.
If I had been running this campaign back when I wasn't serious enough to set up a tracking system, I would've probably scrapped the whole thing. Unknowing that there was potential for a profit, as long as I knew exactly what was working and what wasn't.
