So apparently i missed the Craigslist Rush, or the time when Craigslist was the place to go to get some clicks and conversions, because now that i'm actually trying it, and have been posting frequently, i'm not seeing any results. I don't think it was ever that great, and i don't see how some people are making money from this site.

Remember, not all ads work all the time in all markets, so testing is critical to maximizing your returns. Be smart. The reality is that with proper testing and tracking, you can profitably generate lots of leads by making informed decisions. Bottom line, you should be investigating all of your options. Good Luck

No it is not dead. Craigslist is a huge source to get leads. If you have not any success with, it depends on what you are promoting.

I think that on Craigslist it depends on what you are trying to do.
I have never had much success myself but have heard others say they have.
Looking forward to hearing about more success stories

Yeah you definitely should use a landing page if you're going to do CPA offers. Mainly because most CPA networks will not accept CL traffic.

You should know how to use CL. There are several factors to consider. The niche that you use and the place where you post your ad. Know your product and know the local market where you can do business will greatly contribute to your success.

Oh, come on, not the dead talk again! Craigslist is still alive, I'm pretty sure of that. Their system might not be as easy to spam as they were before, but that's all. Try honest methods and you'll get success.

Just spoke to somebody who is doing some creative stuff with CL. It's certainly not dead but it's the same as it's always been...a cat and mouse game that gets tighter and tigher over time!

Craigslist is in no way dead, if anything is is bigger than ever. It dominates every little competitor and is ranked top 10 most visited website on the web. Yeah they have went through some major updates and there is a load of spam, but is still a gold mine. I have clients making huge figures in niche markets. Some sections are harder than others now for posting, but still doable with proper knowledge and tactics.

Craigslist is easy to make money with, anyone can do it. The problem most people have is when they find some success they end up with their stuff being flagged as content spam and get permaghosted lol.

I've attempted to use posting services before, but apparently none of them can follow directions to stay unbanned. I have to do it myself, and it seems that is the only way.

I was having a very difficult time with CL. Until recently a good friend of mine sent me a video and now after following the instructions I have been making sales and getting new sign ups every day now.
I was very skeptical at first because there is a lot of junk out there about CL but this has been a game changer for me.

I tried using a posting service last year for a campaign to do with business loans. The guy who posted my links for me managed to get about 3 of them through before the rest were shut down. I supplied him with a list of alternate/different headlines, he had various proxies and verified cellphone accounts in different states, yet the censors still blocked my campaign- i thought I'd done enough to get away! They are incredible tight on internet marketers.

Can anyone provide insight into how it's supposed to be done if even what I described failed?

Craigslist is alive. Money can be made. Posts can stick. Gotta dig in and learn... get a feel for what is happening. It takes some time to see what to do, and what not to do. The site is designed to frustrate you so you go on forums - like this - and say it sucks... it's dead... it doesn't work.

Posting frequently on Craigslist will get your post ghosted almost immediately and you wont even really know it.

Getting leads on craigslist depends on what you are presenting, and how you are presenting.
Post good formulated ads in proper categories, and according to the CL rules, they wouldn't get flagged at all.
And you would get more phone calls then ever. I have a lot of customers who are using this service, and getting huge number of phone calls, and earning great deal of money.

Just make your ads attractive , according to the context and sell what you are selling

Let me know if you need any help with the posting. Cheers!

I know this is an old thread but craigslist is very much alive and to be honest even better than a few years ago.

Look at the trending data and compare related terms with craigslist. It will surprise the hell out of you.

What's even better is that it's becoming very hard to advertise on cl for the average person that doesn't dig deep to learn how to utilize it properly.

I don't know any other platform that you can use for free and generate 100 leads the same day fairly easily in a short amount of time.

Would you believe I generated over 20,000 phone calls in 2015 alone.

It's so targeted with "real users" not bot crap it will blow your mind.

Here is something to think about:

Not saying targeting people in the job section is the most ethical just making a point.

And for those that say sure but can you monetize it: Very much so. All from CL below and high ticket items in a different niche. No not vehicles or MMO. I never saw the product I sold here

    No craigslist is not dead...
